I will be working on the 19th, otherwise I would love to be there. I hope we have a great turnout and you guys enjoy wearing your hats. I also hope that those of you who are there will discuss with your fellow pilots why they continue to taxi single engine, not run the APU, not write airplanes up for any little thing they find, call ops for paperwork, call ops for jetbridge drivers, carry things that could be written up at an outstation to Denver, use their cell phones to call DISP and MX, volunteer to conduct new-hire interviews, submit photos to "Winning", pose for photos that will be submitted to "Winning", cut ribbons on inaugural flights, not fill out hotel reports, not call in fatiugued at even the vaguest of opportunities, not use a cab when the hotel shuttle is late, not grieve suspected contract violations, and, most importantly, when they CONTINUE TO PICK UP OPEN TIME.
Have I missed anything???
We should be taking lessons from the Spirit pilots -- those guys are ****ed and they are militant. We, on the other hand, just want be be put "Into the Pattern.".
What a GD joke.

That has nothing to do with the fact that the management people didn't show up to the table. Certainly you don't believe that, do you???
Oh, I forgot one thing: every single pilot at this company should make it a personal goal to call in fatigued at least once a quarter, because I guarantee you that you CAN find a legitimate reason to do so at least that often. And, if it's legitimate, just like writing up mx issues, there's not a damned thing they can do about it.

Harvey makes a lot of good points. We can still be professionals while following our contract. We are acting professionally when we keep our passengers and crew safe and comfortable.
Why do we have pilots working job fairs and conducting interviews in their free time? I've heard some even travel and stay in hotels on their own dime to do this. Insane!

You know that we had a mediator before our contract was even amendable, right? You heard that we're doing 2 weeks of negotiations each month now, right? If those two things are par for the course, please let me know. As far as I recall from other airlines' negotiations, I think we're ahead of the game.
