From what I’ve HEARD, we are getting towards the bottom of the barrel. Applicant wise.

Judging on how much our failure rate has gone up, I tend to believe it.

If you’re asking I assume that means you’re not on property...if that’s the case try to learn the reserve windows at another airline.

The one bright side of this airline is the recruiters have not lowered their standards.

With paying for hotels, below RJ pay, 1-2 years on reserve, no contract in sight, cancelling vacations, adversarial treatment of probationary pilots...we aren’t exactly stealing people from Delta.

I've talked with pilots on the hiring committee about this. They are committed to only selecting guys/gals that we want to spend time with, are qualified and interview well. How long the company allows the pilots to control these decisions remains to be seen.

Why they would volunteer in this capacity right now is another question, nevertheless, I'm glad they're selective, and in that sense maybe I just answered my own question.
