It’s most likely the same, almost any international carrier you can think of. But, as you have probably read these are some tough days at F9. I recommend doing a little research before taking the plunge.

Just FYI for those asking about the MCO base. The latest award came out and if you have been here for 2 years or less you just got bumped down several spots.
I know the recruiting video says lots of planes and growth coming but I have yet to see it and do not see any signs of a change. Do not get suckered in with the ole cup and ball shuffle routine they put on.
They always brag about new routes but never mention the net zero gain caused by the cancelled ones.
Those who advertise that Frontier is growing should be ashamed of themselves..

 

So where are the new hires going, what’s junior out of training on this award?

It’s the same as it was when you asked the same question last month! By the username I’m guessing you’re a military C-5 or C-17 pilot. So you either have retirement or guard/reserve supplemental income and/ or you don’t plan on being here very long. Congrats to you on your being an exemplary human to be graced with all the prerequisites to a stellar airline career. That being said, Don’t come here. It won’t help you any better than going anywhere else. This place is a mess right now and we are trying to fix it. You guys that are coming in thinking that this is “your shot at the big leagues” are going to be sadly disappointed and trying to claw your way out a soon as you see the reality of this place. And merely by interviewing or coming here temporarily you are ****ing on all of the pilots here. Wait til we get a contract to apply. Just forget that this place even exists. We are in a sad state, and deeply embattled in a bitter labor dispute. The management at this company is doing everything it can to break us. They are even cancelling vacations for heavens sake! And by just showing interest here you are telling this whole pilot group that you condone the actions of this management and see your temporary gain as more important than the plight of all the pilots that have been here for years. So go ahead and throw your hat in the ring to come here now if you want but, as I have said before, you would be selling yourself short and a whole pilot group down the river by merely applying here.

Everyone in my class is trying to leave, including myself. We have had a few captains leave in the last few months. Attrition is almost zero though, nada, just three or four a month. But I know lots of us are trying to leave ASAP. I am hoping at some point the real airlines start hiring from our ranks.
