As a recently laid off corporate pilot, I decided to finally give 121 a try. I got an offer at a regional and am waiting for a class. The wait is longer than I’d hoped so I’m still looking at options. I took one look at the profile and read just a couple pages of this thread before I realized, even as desperate as I am to get a job, I’d have to be a lot more desperate to go this route.
I’ll be better off at the regional. Yes literally. It’s unbelievable what they’re trying to get away with. Hope you guys get a good contract.

Not sure what that person is talking about either. I, for one, appreciate you taking the time to do research and steer clear of Frontier right now. If more pilots would do this Frontier might actually be a desirable place to work.
And you’re right. Right now you will be better off at a regional. That’s exactly what I’d do in your position.

My apologies to the OP. I did not mean to come across as defensive. I just think going from corporate to a regional is gonna suck for him. Not insinuating that coming here is any better. If you can stomach a regional I would go to one with a flow. That would be the best option if you can't get on with SWA, JB UAL AA DAL etc.. Coming here would be a lateral move at best.
