Default GoJet Recruitment

Hi guys,

I am new to the forum and enjoying the sub forum for GoJet.

GoJet is of particular interest to me and am hoping to go through the process of recruitment very soon, so I am eager to learn as much about that process and company as I possibly can.

I'm from Australia currently flying turboprop for a small regional.

Hiring process. From what I can tell, if you are breathing and have the time and certs and nothing in your criminal history, you get to go to training. But you have to put in a lot of effort to study because they do fire people who don't.

I haven't been here long enough to get a good feeling on the company, but I can tell it is run cheap just like most regionals. It's just the way the model works, not necessarily a shot a GoJet. They have their issues and are excited about the 550, but so far, it's just another regional. Everyone has been nice and professional and helped me out when I had a problem.

You probably won't see any E175s or anything. If there is more growth coming, I'd be surprised. I guess it's not entirely possible United won't want more 550's, but there's no way to know that or even if they would come here. We do have a lot of movement however with people going to the majors.

United has nearly reached its limit of 70 seaters per scope clause. Once that is exhausted, the only way they can increase capacity in the regional market is the 50 seaters. I’ve heard GoJet brass claim exclusivity in regard to the “550”. Disclaimer: you are free to debate the accuracy of their claim.

It’s likely the CRJs leaving Mesa will be refurbished as 550s and sent to GoJet. So at least for the short term there will be growth.

There’s GoJet cheap, or any TSH airline cheap, and the other regionals cheap. Just one look at their headquarters in Saint Louis, or even the fact they’re in Saint Louis clearly shows their mindset on cheap. Aside from first impressions, ask around about their maintenance program. And then compare it to others. You’ll get a clearer picture.

Gojet doesn't have any sort of exclusive agreement with United to fly the CRJ 550. Just more BS from a group of people who struggle to keep their airline staffed. Skywest has told investors that they are ready to operate the CRJ 550 if United expands the program beyond what Gojet is planned to operate.

What does being in St. Louis have anything to do with the company being cheap? TWA was based in St. Louis, were they cheap?

Thank you for your input and insights from within the company.

Yeh, I can assure you I will be studying and putting in the effort. Always been a studious type anyway.

The launch of the 550s sounds exciting as well.

It sure appears like they are a growing airline.

Two things in life are certain:

1. Inmates in prison are better legal scholars than SCOTUS.

2. Your average line pilot knows more inside information about the business of aviation than management does.
