Default Base seniority

ORD is by far the biggest base. Most new hires will end up there.
EWR and STL are each about 1/4 the size of ORD.
STL is the most senior.
EWR is currently the most junior. This is partially due to poor commutability.

Why do you think they ended up not taking the Captain offers?

new company, get used to ops then upgrade, also they would be at the bottom of the captain seniority for a long time, say I upgrade in a year or so, and I have seniority in class, I will be above them on the list, that’s another reason

A large majority of that is North St. Louis City. Around the airport isn’t the best but if you have transportation St. Charles, Brentwood/Clayton/Richmond heights is about as safe as anywhere in the country. If you go downtown just don’t be dumb, like any other downtown.

Mainly if you stay west of interstate 170 or south of Delmar (east of 170) and you probably won’t run into any issues.

As someone who lived in North St. Louis COUNTY (the city seceded from the county in 1876), I agree with everything you said.

City is 300,000. County is 1 million. Metro is 3 million.

I am a CFI with a CJO at GoJet. Does anyone happen to know the negotiation status with management on new pay rates? Will negotiations be dragged out or is it likely new pay rates will be seen later this year or next?
