Default beware GoJet

I was in a GoJet new-hire class where 12 out of 16
of us were fired, and the chief pilot basically made up reasons why. (They only kept guys already current in the CRJ). We deduced that it was because Flightsafety did a bad job with our ground school. Cute huh? They treat people very badly. At our introduction to the Chief pilot he demanded someone step forward to be fired for saying something inappropriate, when none of us really did Beware!

Do you at least have a CRJ rating or this was your first airline job? Sorry to hear that

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Flight Safety's fault. They put out a really good product, but it doesn't surprise me that a go jet applicant would pass the blame on something else other than himself.

Yes, Flight Safety does put out a good product but Hulie only pays for the minimum the FAA requires so you get the "Wham-Bam" course and not the thorough training that you should recieve. You get what Hulie pays for...the minimum

I totally understand, how bad life sucks as a CFI. Making 10 grand a year really sucks. I am lucky enough, to be on with a great flight school. I make the big dollars there. 16 grand a year. I am aware gojet is hiring and in the past would have never even thought about it. However, I had a TSA pilot suggest applying to gojet to me the other day! I still have not applied but, back in the day you used to be a scab if you flew for continental too. I think we are on the tail end of the TSA/GJ rift and the first time, Go jet strikes and asks for solidarity from their brothers they will get it. All that said, I make 16 grand a year, paid close to 50k for my ratings and am not willing to go to gojet quite yet. However, I am a strong believer the rift is dying and it will be forgotten soon. Remember all the ATC guys are 'scabs' too. Once Reagan fired them in the 80's and hired all replacements.
