You all sure talk big on here, but hardly anyone except TSA pilots have the balls to tell someone they cant ride in their jumpseat cause they hate their company.

Get over yourselves. I realize its not the best way to start a company, but we are in a full blown recession, and no matter what you say its stupid to try to get a job working at McDonalds to pay the bills when we all paid 30-70k for our training just to throw it away right now. No I dont work for GJ, I actually worked for TSA. Get over yourselves.

Exactly what I have been trying to say.... and I dont work for either company.. Nice to see someone with some common sense.

I love how everyone who tries to defend gojets has to add at the end that they don't work for them. If it's such a great place, why do you feel the need to add that disclaimer?

As for the recession, and all those people being out of work, good pilots are on the street BECAUSE of gojets. TSA is furloughing pilots and hiring at their alter-ego. If all the flying went where it rightfully should, TSA pilots would still have jobs. Instead, those pseudo-scabs are sitting there grinning in their new-hire classes while GOOD PEOPLE are being actively put on the street. THAT is absolutely intolerable!

1. I work there and have for almost three years.
2. It's GoJet i.e. (singular not plural) not GoJets
3. They put themselves on the street by voting no. Secure the flying
then work on the pay issue. Seems like common sense to me.
4. They were misled by their MEC and ALPA
5. I have never, ever had any problem commuting
6. Neither I nor anyone I know or work with likes to see anyone on the
streets but we did not put them there. They had the chance to fly
these planes, they chose no and were misled. Now, they must live
with that decision.
7. The Regional Airlines is like Jr. High School all over again
8. Additionally, they are furloughing now because Eagle took their planes
back. You know, the ones that Trans States pilots "stole." Sound
familiar?? And don't give me this "That was Mgt's decision. The Pilots
had nothing to do with it" crap. As many of you say towards GoJet,
You chose to stay there, you knew what you were getting into.

*eyeroll*

Hey pause, that's very touching. How does it feel to be a pseudo-scab and to walk around in that uniform and know that everyone who even remotely knows something about Gojets dislikes you and what you stand for? It doesn't matter what happened in 05. You don't join a replacement pilot group set up to circumvent a union CBA, that is as close as you can get to being a scab in the traditional way. TSA is setting up that strike center, good luck to you if they actually do strike.

Sorry, don't see it your way. You went there for quick seniority, thats it. You got an upgrade and the increase in pay that goes along with it at the TSA pilot's expense. If you can't see that you need to get your head checked out. I would be livid if other Skywest's pilot went to another certificate to operate jets paid for with my hard work only to screw me in the end. You and your pilot group are not contributing to makeing the situation all of us face every day any better. It was your decision. You should be punished, too bad most mainline pilot's don't care. Why don't ya'll just merge with DOH, that would solve the prob, afterall both union anyways?

No matter what he does, its not at the TSA pilot's expense. You can scream "pilot unity" til you are blue in the face but the fact remains that this is an industry that you do whats best for you #1, and whats best for the group #2...

Window - I dont see ANY regional doing anything to help the entire pilot group... Everyone is out for THEIR company only, and they proceed to bash everyone else who isnt as "high quality" as they are...

Pause, its nice to see someone just come out and tell everyone how it REALLY is. I am sick of the (as you put it) jr. high mentality. You can **** and moan all you want about how GoJet stole your flying, but it was never YOUR flying to begin with. No regional (except wholly owned) owns any flying. The majors decide who gets what, and can change that whenever they feel like it provided they dont violate a contract. Get rid of this sense of entitlement you have.

And the only reason I stated that I didnt work for GoJet just goes to show you that its not just GJers that think this way. Its pretty sad that something like this affects you this much.

If you're talking about my furlough from TSA, yeah you're right, it is sad that the decision of other pilots to continue undermining a good pilot group has caused me to be out on the streets.

And whoever mentioned the TSA and Eagle thing must have forgotten about that one old company...what were they called? Oh yeah, TWA. That's not the only reason the comparison is severely flawed but I'm on lunch from my Indoc class and need to head back.

yeah pause, where would you be if you couldn't be buddy-buddy with every TSA pilot in the terminal? I mean, you wouldn't be able to force small talk or anything. how would you ever be able to continue living? you'd be forced to listen to the fainting whispers which will inevitably become the latest posts on the internet. what EVER will you do?

and when did this term pseudo-scab come about?

pseudo-scab:
function: noun
etymology - american, st. louis
date: 21st century
: term created by 600 hr pilots.

* shouldnt' some of you be in recess?

Let's see what we can do to straighten this out, shall we?

3. Spoken like someone who belongs at GJ... Lower the bar, then hope that maybe mgmt will give you something back later... Yeah, like that's EVER happened in the past.

4. Yeah, it was ALPA's mistake. They underestimated just how greedy hulas was. They didn't think he'd go so far as to create an entirely new airline just to avoid negotiating a fair contract.

5. Good for you. Maybe you've been lucky, maybe you commute on an airline who doesn't care. But you can be sure I'm doing MY best to make sure every mainline pilot I talk to hears the story of what you are doing to the TSA pilot group. And you can bet United mainline is going to be a LOT more aware of you now that their mgmt is pulling the same BS on them.

6. Sounds like you're just trying to make excuses. Be as much of a man as you can muster and just admit you went there for the quick upgrade/time and don't care about anyone but yourself.

8. I'm guessing you never heard of a little thing called "TWA Express". Also, eagle happens to be owned by a company OTHER than TSA. AMR didn't create TSA to have pseudo-scabs to fly their planes for less money. As much as you want it to to be the same, it's apples and oranges. Sorry.
