I am just reading everyone's posts and realizing how ignorant everyone sounds on here. I am still in the military and haven't retired yet so I haven't started flight school yet.

Emb170man "I know it says new hire...but ask someone who has seen a jet what the word "DEADHEAD" means. It is not the same as jumpseating. Get a clue."

Um......dead·head [ded-hed]–noun
1.a person who attends a performance, sports event, etc., or travels on a train, airplane, etc., without having paid for a ticket, esp. a person using a complimentary ticket or free pass.

I guess you should give dictionary.com a call and make sure they have seen a jet before they come up with outrageous definitions like this.

Deadheading is when your company flies you somewhere as a pax, usually to pick up another plane, or back to your domicile. It has nothing to do with recreational travel.

Bottom line, I respect all pilots except those working for GoJet and my opinion will not change tomorrow, next week, next month, next year or next decade. If you work for GoJet, there better be a seat in the back because you won't be riding in my jump. EVERYONE else is ALWAYS WELCOME and I look forward to meeting you.
I hope you feel the same way if you have to get home because of a family emergency and you get Denied the Jump seat because you dont respect the employees of a perticular company

Just who do you work for

I agree with you there. Many pilots at my airline place nonunion pilots at the same level as GoJet Pilots. I personally have never met GoJet pilots so I will not make any judgments.

Its amazing I hear people say dont go to MESA, Dont Go to Gojets, Dont work for Pinnacle, dont work at Colgan, dont go to to Skywest cause they voted NO on ALPA.... Gezzzzzz well just were are people who are out of work suppose to go I dont see the Choice Regionals so to speak picking up all the pilots out on the streets up, for what its wort those of us who are working can sit back and pass judgement but you dont know what a person situation is unless you have walked a mile in their shoes what is really an eye opener for me is how we contunully as a professionals tear each other down.. I have said it before and Ill say it again WE are our worst enemy we are take pride in killing our own
