Gojet

All pilots we are wh0res. Specially at the regional level. We all accepted $18 or $20 jobs. We undercut ourselves for the sake of Jet time. GoJet guys will continue to get hired in other airlines. Same as TSA, SKW or Expr.Jet. I don't think it's GJ that undercutting the industry. I think it's us that we keep accepting those jobs. I mean, look at the salaries at Colgan, or Pinnacle. What a disgrace for our proffession. I am not working in the US any more and no matter who much I love this country, we are making everything possible to keep downgrading our proffession. I see the salaries regional pilots make in other countries and I am ashamed to say what we were making in the US. What captains make in Any regional here in the USA, the first officers start in other countries. I was amazed. Oh and most of those companies. Not Union. Anyway, jumpseat wars hurt the industry. Regional salaries hurt the industry. Hulas ($#@^%) hurts the industry. And my opinion, ALPA at the regionals, hurts the industry.
For those who wonderd, yes I did worked at GJ for a year and a half.
Do i agree with GJ managment. HELL NOOOOOO. But also I don't agree with what TSA did to their pilots, and UNFORTUNATELLY nobody did anyting. defenitelly not ALPA. I have friends at TSA and GJ and PINNACLE and other companies. I have never been denied a jumpseat and working for GJ did not ended my career. I have interviewed with major domestic and international carriers and I had job offers from the majority of them. I choose international flying just because the money were better and I have a better schedule. And yes I do commute to the USA.
Gents, have a nice day, be proffessional but most of all, be SAFE

I was at Pinnacle for eight years before I elected to take a job flying international.
Now, I work three days a week, fly 40 hours a month, and get four weeks off every quarter.
The down side is that I was only able to triple my salary.
I have better things to do with my life than cry, whine, complain, and groan life every other APC regional airline pilot.
I did the only useful thing that a regional airline pilot can do. I let my feet do my talking.
As the rest of you APC complaining regional airline pilots continue to talk with your mouth, the only thing you do is continue to lower the bar.
Enjoy your regional careers and make sure to keep slinging mud at Mesa, GoJet, SkyWest, Colgan, Pinnacle, and anyone else that you wish. I sit on my four days of with a huge smile on my face because I say no more.

Hey man, my bad. I should have not assumed that you worked at GoJet. I apologize. My airline is in trouble and I could be furloughed. Am I crying? Am I whining? Am I complaining or groaning? No. If it happens, it happens and I will have to deal with it. Anyways, none of that changes the fact that what TSA management did to their pilots by creating GoJet was wrong. That being said, the pilots who took the jobs there were willing to work for less and completely killed any bargaining power that the TSA pilots had. That is lowering the bar. How am I lowering the bar by pointing that out? Congrats on getting an international gig. Would you mind telling me who you fly for? Those airlines seem the places to be with the turmoil here in the US. Once again, I apologize for assuming you worked for GoJet. It just bothers me when I hear stories like that.

I have been in the airline industry for 19 years currently flying an Airbus, and have seen the regional airlines become nothing more than a sad life version of high school. I have many friends that work for basically across the board from Mesa, Republic, Eagle, Compass, TSA, and Go Jet. I really think that most of the problem stems from that most of the pilots getting hired into the regionals don't have any formal education and bring that high school mentality into the industry. Go Jet..... well so people don't or say they don't like them but the truth is that in all honesty nobody knows why they don't, other than that is what they have been told. THINK FOR YOUR SELF. If you were not at TSA when the whole thing started move on with your life, because I can bet you really don't know the whole story. I am not defending but explaining that TSA was created and Eagle pilots hated TSA and for the most part STILL DO! I love the ALTER EAGLE stickers and then TSA stole that idea and made ALTER EGO JET stickers. But ALPA is really what screwed TSA over. REMEMBER GENTS HE WHO HAS THE MONEY MAKES THE RULES. Hulas had a business deal to make and he did, fact of life move on. There was a law suit against Go Jet by TSA and then the other way around, when it went to court the ruling was; Go Jet is not an alter ego airline, no picket line was crossed so pilot are not scabs (by the way most of the young pups out there throw around the word SCAB and don't know what it really means well...) and that it is a legal company. I know, I know... supporting Go Jet is bad. Really to me they are just another regional the same as as any one else. As for the badge thing really? I have mine on a lanyard sometimes and that thing is front wards and backwards and for the uniforms they look like all united express pilots, give me a break and go take up golfing or something.

Finally....watching these arguments is exactly like watching a high school group decide who to exclude. Most of the biggest flamers appear to be FO's too (I know there are a few captains who posted on this as well...). As for making it a point to harass these GoJet pilots, I think that's a pretty stupid idea. He/She is not going to be at GoJet forever and maybe one day when you need a ride to work this pilot, now working for another airline, is going to remember the day you decided to give them problems, and you'll find yourself standing at the gate trying to figure out how to get to work that day. Or maybe they'll be the bigger person and take you anyway. Either way, the attitudes I've seen on here are definitely reminiscent of high school, something I never thought to see in the professional world...but who knows maybe it's the norm and the military spoiled me...
