Thank you.
Often people will use a public computer, such as in ops, and forget to log out. People may intentionally make a comment using the other person's sign-in or may start reading and when making a comment forget that he was not the person who signed in. My buddy has taken my computer and made some comments. He thinks he's funny. No matter what, it is all one person's opinion or beliefs. Facts can be misstated, misunderstood or even wrong. Everyone should use what is on here as things to consider and should be investigated. Also, people may be responding to given facts A, B, and C and given those his opinion is X. If he is given facts B,C, and D instead he may have a different opinion.

People also need to throw in some common sense. Why would an airline that is not growing, be hiring street captains? When I interviewed at Skywest there were 7 interviewing and 3 were at American Eagle. That said a lot about Eagle. There is one airline who has just over 1000 pilots but which has hired over 1000 pilots this year. Isn't that 100% turnover? Where are they coming from and why are they coming? Where are they going and why are they leaving so quickly? Contact people who are no longer at an airline if you want a better chance of getting the truth. Beware Stockholm Sydrome response where someone is happy to have gotten out and is relieved. Reputation would be number one to me in choosing a good company to work for. I bet is somebody asked who the worst 2 regional jet airlines in the US are, that 90% of the people would have the same response.

3. Pilot applicant turned down 5 other carriers so he didn't have to commute.
You turned down 5 other offers so you could fly for GoJets. You left me speechless.

Other offers were from Mesa as an FA, home depot in equipment rental, and three waiter jobs.

If I were in the hiring department at a major airline I would not discriminate against someone just because they came from Gojet. I would look closely as to why they went there though.

I would also not refuse to allow someone from the Titanic onto my lifeboat. I would not block a door preventing someone from leaving a burning building. And I would not blame a rape victim for the actions of the rapist.

We all know good people whose careers were destroyed by Gojet.

"The Real Story", it is the bottom of the bottom. Mesa beats Gojet. Their contract is worthless. The contract says you get 4 hours min credit per day but the small print says as long as the first day starts before noon and the last day ends after 5 pm. Otherwise the guarantee on a 4 day trip is 8 hours.

Don't expect to be able to change your schedule, what you get is what you have to fly.

If you fly 80 hours at Gojet you might get 120 hours of credit for the same flying at Skywest. If you are at Envoy or Endeavor you get the 20k bonus while at Gojet you get nothing.

Get the contract, read the contract. Look for the take-aways. Talk to Envoy, Endeavor, PSA, and Skywest people.

Gojet may hire you as a Captain and pay you captain pay but then they might have you fly in the right seat. You would do better at Envoy or Endeavor. Stick to a quality outfit and you will be glad you did.

Well this horse has been beaten to absolute death. Yes, G7 is terrible company. I've been gone since early fall and I'm still occasionally in shock by some of the things I saw when I was working there.

Go ahead though. Life is short. If people are still going there despite all the tremendous negatives why stop them? Some people have been able to get out unscathed. I wasn't able to.

Personally I'm surprised an operation of that low caliber is allowed to operate in a first world country. But what do I know? I'm just a humble pilot.

Go ahead. See it for yourself. We're all gluttons for punishment.

For some reason pilots think there is no price to be paid going to a bottom feeder as a captain. Why do they think an airline with no growth needs captains?

Remember to figure in the cost of an airline ticket home after your last trip because they cut off your jumpseat before the end. They like to get in that final FU.

It will not be getting any better. Don't believe the guy who gets on here and tells you that it might have been that way a couple of years ago but not any more. It still sucks.
