The airlines don't, there's no sign of religious exemptions for beards. I also don't recall ever seeing any religious headgear on US airline pilots, although you might have better luck with that than beards.

Quite frankly US airlines don't WANT their pilots to appear outwardly religious, too many people would be offended one way or another (or scared in some cases). Not about right or wrong, it's about creating an atmosphere that keeps the customers happy... ie, business.
Aren't airlines also answerable to government cuz they falls under DoT laws??

They are regulated by law. Not funded or owned by congress. This is not the CCCP. Yet. OAC wants to eliminate airlines entirely, she's not worried about employee dress codes

Is the reason for wanting a beard to compensate for the lack of decent grammar?

I suppose it’s that time of year again to rehash the painfully obvious. The requirement to shave has nothing, zero, zip, nada, zilch to do with appearance. It has to do with the safety of your passengers, in a smoke event your mask had better have a good seal. As a former firefighter I would not want to put my life at risk for sake of having a “neatly trimmed beard”, as a pilot I refuse to gamble the lives in the back on it.

So they must have much better O2 masks in Europe then?

No they don’t, and when a pilot goes unconscious from smoke inhalation and slumps over the controls forcing an unrecoverable dive they will have to answer for why they chose to expose their pax to that risk. I suppose the grieving families will be comforted to hear that the pilot looked very handsome prior to the crash.

Me thinks you don't know what you're talking about.

Beard rule has been dropped not only in Europa Land but obviously also in the Middle East.
So.....explain to me how we can fly with eyeglasses.

Excellent contribution. So you are under the belief that exposure to toxic smoke in a confined space is a totally acceptable level of risk? Please, do elucidate your reasoning for such a stance.
