My TOTD,

The guy driving a Hummer at my gym with "1 mor rep" for a vanity plate.

Since this is outside of aviation this hopefully doesn't make me the TOTD.

The high school kid on a flight today who told the flight attendant "my friend was bad, put him in time out babe" followed by that stupid tongue clicking noise some people do.

Default TOTD better than 20 years of Recurrent CRM

My Tooldar has been operating on +8 since this thread started.

Unfortunately for me, I've noticed myself here probably 10 times. The guys I've been flying with have been total non-tools.

I even feel guilty for peaking out the blinds until my Milfalicious next door neighbor get's home before I fly out the door in my uniform (with hat) to "check" the mail.

B@stards.

What's wrong with this? Sometimes the FAs deserve it.

ahh yes....the same people who spend more time at the gym looking in the mirror, looking around to see if anyone is watching them, or on their cell phone than they do repping....

This actually happened to a colleague of mine:

He was the F/O and non-flying pilot working the radios. ATC says, "Say type aircraft..."

The captain immediately says to the F/O before the latter can answer ATC, "Boeing 737."

Gee, thanks...

I think some guys are just spring loaded to instruct for some reason. Not defending them or anything, I just don't even think they realize how demeaning it is. Actually had a sim instructor try to start instructing me on how to plug in my headset, so I obviously asked him to expand on his explanation. If I can't plug in a headset, then I obviously have slipped through one to many cracks.

On that note, not sure if it qualifies as toolish, but when one pilot asks to verify a radio call from ATC the other pilot will start talking over the ATC when they read back the clearance. Personally never understood that, I mean I already asked ATC to repeat themselves, so what is the use in repeating what you heard the first time.
