Hello,
I’m an ATR FO with a UK based regional airline, with around 1400 hours of total time. 800 of which is on the the ATR and around 200 on the Saab 2000.
Currently working towards my UK ATPL and eventually to gain my FAA ATP.

I'm a 42 year old Arizona based PP w/ IR with 2,000TT. I own a Mooney that I flew around the world last year with my wife. It was the biggest adventure of my life and taught me that I'm happiest when I'm in the air. We pay the bills with real estate & investments we own, however, I recently started working on my CPL/ATP with the goal to find a flexible or part time flying job. I'm less concerned about building hours and money as I am with flexibility and enjoying the work I'm doing. In that regard, I'm using APC as a way to research flying jobs.

Long time GA pilot - Change of Career
I am transitioning into professional flying as a full time means of support after a long IT career. I started flying in 1990 and earned my Commercial MEL+Instrument back in 2002 but the hiring mins were too high with poverty wages. Now that I have good TT and the pay has come up it is time to find a good entry point.
I have two regional 121 interviews and doing some research on them. I am also looking at 135 pilot options. Everything is going to be crewed SIC jobs for now.

Since I can not post anywhere else on the site, I will just respond back to my post.
I am joining the regional ranks. Had two interviews this week, CJOs from both, accepted one. Looking forward to getting a class date ASAP.

For some unknown reason the mods decided to jail my previous account, a little frustrating since I can't post on most of the forum but oh well.
I am a pt. 61 PPL soon to start transition training at a 141 school in the lower midwest, so far I have time in a Cessna 175, PA-28 140 and Cessna 172K.
Hopefully I will have a 1000 hour letter around this time next year, not sure I want to CFI in the Midwest so seriously looking for whatever 91/135 jobs can give me quality time and help me avoid shoveling snow in between crying into my ramen.
Ultimate goal is brown or purple, at this point leaning toward ACMI and not counting anything out as of yet, but curious as to the hypothetical "best" path to get there.

Hello,
I'm a former Marine KC-130J and KC-130T pilot. About 1700 TT, almost all KC-130J/T. The rest was Navy flight school (T-34C and T-44C). A little GA in there (C172). CPL/MEL/Instrument, standard stuff for a guy in that flew my airframe. I haven't flow anything in 5 years.
I'm STRONGLY considering quitting my government engineer job and start a career towards the Airlines. I know a lot of you will advise me not too, I welcome all opinions.
Some may ask why, well:
1. I'm about make substantial amount from a rental I'm selling, so that will help during time in the regionals.
2. COVID delayed hiring for two years, but now it's really back full force.
3. Wage growth in my govt job has been stagnant.
4. I find I don't like the personality of most engineer. Yes, I have a BS in AE.
5. It appears the flying bug never left me.
Khoi
