Maybe they are sending everyone to SJU and weren't planning on it the time of the interview?

I interviewed in February and they had us fill out that paperwork while we were there. So I am sure they just forgot to hand it out to you guys.

That what I heard is the first few classes are for the SJU ATR untill the CR7's take delivery and the other folks start bidding on the CR7 and creating openings.

How often are pilots domiciles changed? If you are domiciled at DFW and they need pilots in ORD does the company change your domicile to ORD? What is meant by displacement?

I'm sorry you are so jealous of others that you feel righteous in assuming you know everything about them.

I'm sorry you have so little respect for other pilots that you don't even bother asking them a question about why they chose to do what they do before jumping in with your opinion about what they should do.

Mostly, I'm sorry there are immature, egotistical little snots who've become airline captains and given the responsibility of flying innocent families around our nation. Buckle up, Captain Mesa. Grow up and take a stand.
Easy, buddy.

1) I don't hate my job. I have had a wonderful run here at Mesa, showed up with 800/100, and will leave with 5000TT, 1700 TPIC and 3500 121. Upgraded after 2.5 years, and have flown the left seat of two different airplanes since. Not saying I'm not ready for something new/different, but I love to fly.

2) I'm jealous of the opportunity you have, not of you. You seem like a smug, regional lifer. We have them here at Mesa as well, so I know your type. Trust me, I don't envy your outlook on life.

3) I'll give you this one. I don't know anything about you. I think the flow opportunity is a great one, but I guess you don't.

4) Immature, egotistical snots? These are the words of a mature airline pilot, are they not?

Grow up and take a stand? I do through my work with ALPA. I've taken a stand as an F/O rep, grievance committee, and I've done some work with the negotiating committee. It's easy to stand on deck and complain the ship is sinking, but I would rather start bailing water.

Get over yourself. Clearly you don't know a damn thing about me either.

A displacement is being pushed out of your seat, aircraft and/or domicile during a company down or resizing. Example, there are 100 EMB FOs each at DFW and ORD. Management decides to downsize DFW and upsize ORD to 90 and 110 respectively. A displacement bid is held where volunteers are given a shot then any remaining vacancies from from the bottom up meaning the most junior EMB FO is forced to ORD (or quits) and up the seniority list until the displacement is complete. Sometimes this involves retraining such as a LGA EMB FO going to SJU ATR FO or LGA EMB CA to ORD CRJ FO.

Take your own advice, Captain. The difference between us is that I don't claim to know anything about you except what you've revealed here.

If you want to know something about someone or wonder why they made a particular decision, my humble advice is to ask them before assuming anything.

IMO, the ones who selected flow through should go. They're b!t@hing and moaning now that they have to since it's not exactly what everyone envisioned. What about if things weren't different. They'd be screaming if you made them stay at Eagle. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

BP, if you filed ER then you shouldn't have to go.

As far as ALPA letting the arbitrator decide, it's the only fair way since they must look out for all the pilots. Not screw one group over the other no matter which side you are on.

Thanks, but according to the MEC I do have to go. Apparently I'm in their seat.

Regardless of what you and I want or think is right or just, the arbitrator is going to decide.
