I guess you guys don't understand a sim session during an interview. You won't be setting anything. The just wanna know if you can do basic instrument work, brief/perform a hold, brief an approach, fly a stabilized approach, and follow directions. It's a piece of cake guys/gals. Don't sweat it.

Don't worry G1000 is the most friendly system to fly. If you ever used some Garmin GPS (like the 430 or 530) is just the same but with two BIG screens . I have like 30 hrs in G1000 and in the 2nd flight I felt like i flew always.
So if you can, try to fly a C-172 or something that have G1000 for at least four hours and just try to work a bit in your scanning. That should be ok...
As flight instructor (steam and glass panel) I always say that is better to do a transition from steam gauges to glass, that from glass to steam.

For some of us w/o $800 dollars to blow. I have gone from steam to glass then glass back to steam so yea its all relative. Fly the Airplane. Flight Sim may help also.
