Only a few days now the TA passed and SkyWest has guys jumping ship already...

Says something like continued growth and a quick career advancement?

That’s the billion dollar question. ATL and DTW are going so junior because of fast growth and the fact that nobody wants to go there. I have stopped asking how we are hiring so many every month as I just don’t get it. I would say that trend will change, but there are literally thousands here that felt 1% was a respectable increase. I need to quit trying to understand things with logic I suppose.

With 45 new aircraft due on OO property in 2018 1 2 , that is some serious seniority for those starting class in the next couple of months. Not to mention attrition. You can spin it however you want with street captains- poor planning on OO's part... or a great recruitment tool to lure experienced 121 pilots for an insta-upgrade. Granted West Coast is still king and will most likely not see these quick upgrades like ATL and DTW.

Friends at OO have told me that there will be a big captain shortage come Spring 2018. There are simply not enough FOs with the required time to upgrade. And that is factoring in those holding out for a west coast upgrade.

There are hundreds of qualified F/O's but the company will need to work with them. Jamming them with one hundred hour lines in a far away domicile with no positive space commutes or hotel then threatening to fire you after a SAD is not working.

Not true.. and most of the last batch of hired pilots want MSP. Last spring they did a huge push of recruiting in the midwest. BOI upgrade is at 3 years is a testament that the west coast is about to go JR.. on the Ejet.. but all in all, enough with what “regional” is better. Go were you can get out as fast as you can!! and will minimize the pain while you are there...

This is a QX thread. You should talk about it there.

On the bright side maybe Tilden Hornibrook and Campbell will read this thread and wake the hell up and not wait for another perfect storm obviously us pilots have not had their ears In years. Why the irresponsible BOD continues to back these incompetent moron eludes me stockholders should start a class action lawsuit against this BOD for not taking their fiduciary responsibility serious and allowing incompetence to prevail at the top levels of leadership in AAG the race to the bottom continues and this time we are taking the stockholders with us

What % does QX represent of AAG?? I don’t think QX is there first or even second priority.. Go look at the quarterly numbers.. and yes airline managers look at this forum..

30-35% of their total feed...I'd say that's "substantial"

The Q400 makes a ton of money for AAG, MX issues or not

LOL, QX has had zero priority for years and it shows hence they can't / won't even follow the contract at QX or AS and then with a straight face wonder why they receive zero trust and now our customers are seeing zero trust in our airline(s). I'm well aware of the 3rd quarter as well as the last several years of perfect storms excuses year after year only to be repeated the very next year. "Ground Hog Day Airlines" because next year will be the same issues and same response "it was the perfect storm"
