Which I understand and support. But the guy said he wanted to come here I believe. Waiting at a regional until JB raises training pay is insane.

that’s a guy using this as a stepping stone, no doubt.

I see your point. That would be ludicrous.

I'd ask to see his medical certificate.

Some regional Pilots will now tell you that going to JetBlue is a lateral move.....despite that being some distance incorrect from the actual ALPA definition of a lateral move (think ELOA clauses) Hard to tell if thats how the above views it or not. Fact: This individual will still have a family to feed if/when their regional goes out of business.....or just as likely when those 300% stuff goes poof like White House evidence.

If you can't provide for 1.5 months..........then 90 ish an hour for one year.........do you live in like Palo Alto?

Leaving a Regional flying a E170 with unlimited 300% to fly an E195 (which is what most recent classes are getting) at JB to take a pay cut is a lateral move.(Especially if you consider moving to your assigned JB base & seat locks & JB upgrade times). More Florida bases would help offset that. Then you have the pending merger of seniority list nightmare that never works in anyone’s favor.

Forgive my naivete, but if you're already at the bottom of the seniority list, would a merger affect you dramatically?

Holy **** he is doubling down. I'm surprised his regional hasn't collapsed (yet) under the sheer weight of his balls.

Unlimited 300% ...well if thats the case Delta might as well be a Lateral move as well. Operative word being unlimted I think. I guess he's never heard of Comer or ExpressJet. Lateral moves ....generally speaking are moves that you'd have to do some explaining about at an interview (think something showing a lack of normal progression)....I don't think your ______ (legacy) HR rep will ask you why you went to JetBlue at your interview........where as they would if you went from say SkyWest to Envoy.

A lot of new pilots lack perspective--that's understandable during your first few years of airline flying--but thankfully, that lack of perspective is usually accompanied by an attitude of humility and a willingness to learn.

In this case, I'd say, wait until you've deiced a few times before telling us all how it works. Just for the sake of the pilots who will be sitting next to you, consider the possibility that perhaps you don't have it all figured out quite yet.
