Sure. As long as you stop pumping your own gas, dry cleaning your clothes, eating foods with pesticides, washing your hair with shampoos that have known carcinogens, give up alcohol (a toxin), etc. etc. etc.

Oh, and just forget about also those times you checked the gas in a 152 by sticking your hand in the tank. At least that’s what they taught in 1989.

Plus we have special shielding on the 190 that protects us against radiation. Kidding! We’re getting fried like every other aircraft.

Besides we’re all crazy on the 190 anyway. Come on over.

Comparing fume events to those things is a bit naive/ignorant.

So you’re saying medical history, lifestyle, and environmental conditions don’t effect medical etiology. Where did you get your MD?

I’m on a committee that investigates this so please come on over with your expertise and correct my ignorance. Happy to have you volunteer, doc.

And I spent 4 years as a USAF firefighter paramedic so I’m sorta on the know on fumes and stuff that burns and vaporizes. That pesky federal firefighter I designation and all. But thanks for judging.

Don’t need a medical degree to know that pumping gas and drinking alcohol aren’t anywhere close to being in the same league as toxic fumes. And lifestyle choices are different than unhealthy cabin air in a place of employment. I hope if you ever go to mainline you volunteer for the post-fume-event runups and ferry flights.

Airbus 4.5 years. And I’m on the committee that investigates these. And I was harsh and I’m sorry. But I’m far from ignorant. Much of my post was tongue in cheek. Avoid an aircraft because of a remote possibility of an event? Really? Better chance of getting run over in Kew while walking.

haha right so being a usaf firefighter makes you an expert in a field in which relatively little is known? Gtfo.

Probably the reason nothing is getting done about it...makes sense.
