All I said is No to ALPA!
Top 5 reasons No to ALPA (plenty more)
1. Conflict of reason (regionals and Majors) see 3 for more truth
2. The waste of money
3. Last two carriers took pay concessions ALPA concurred after pilots vated for it with the ALPA roadshows and one of them actually flies for another ALPA carrier? Who here thinks pilots should be taking concessions?
4.ALPA used the same mgmt tactics you say our DR is guilty of with Units 1&2 during their negotiations Reality check?
5.1.9 percent for what?

A union is only as effective as it's opposing management is willing to work with the employee group. With the RLA in place these days, there is no weight in it when management wants to oppose all ideas. Just ask the people at Republic. All I am saying is, putting a union on property will not solve all problems overnight. It's not the threat to managers these days that it used to be. You are liable to be paying dues and ending up with the same set of work rules.

Every JetBlue thread on this board seems to go on the same direction, it'll start with the legitimate purpose, a few "usual suspect" troublemakers start with the same back-and-forth arguments, and before long the thread is either in danger of being closed, or closed.
Why not moderate the thread a little bit as opposed to simply closing. How about removing some of the threads that contain no useful information and were simply made to incite arguments? Why not give some of the troublemakers whose only purpose it is on the board is to troll JetBlue threads and start the same typical arguments, a quick timeout to let him think about their future posting? (You know, the users with 20 posts in 19 of them are in JetBlue threads regarding negativity towards the company)
There are enough people on the forum that attempt to get perfectly legitimate information regarding JetBlue, and we always have to resort to starting thread after thread as the original ones go off-track and get closed.
The "Any latest and greatest about Delta," has become a thread about nothing more than women, beer, and college football, however nobody seems to be concerned about the fact that nothing in this thread has been particularly relevant or useful regarding Delta for months. Nonetheless, the minute a JetBlue thread gets one page into diversity, mods are ready to drop the hammer and close it.
I respectfully request that perhaps you can address the problem regarding these JetBlue threads, as opposed to simply being ready to close them and having to start new ones yielding the same results.
Thanks

How long would it take to hold most weekends and/or holidays off on reserve in Boston? Any estimate on upgrade times based upon current growth and attrition models. I know it's a wild guess, but better than nothing.

Upgrades are a total WAG, but I'll say if hired today you'll see the left seat of the 190 in 3-4 years and A320 in 6-8 years.
*Past performance is no guarantee of future returns. Consult your magic 8-ball before bidding reserve or upgrading to captain!*
