That's what I was told directly from a recruiter. PIC not TPIC, etc. They value command time of any kind.

Thanks guys. Why did they change, do you know? There's a lot of us "seasoned" pilots who have been stuck at SIC for a while.

That changed early this year. Like February. The guys this impacts the most are those who never instructed. If you got on at a regional really quickly, you won't have much PIC of any kind.

Is the 1,000 PIC going to be a hard requirement or just preferred? I instructed for a little over a year before getting on with a regional, but still a little short of 1,000 PIC.

My opinion is that anyone's answer is about as accurate as a 12 day forecast from your local weatherman. The only people who truly know who jetBlue is hiring is the recruiters. Unless they are posting anonymously, just keep your fingers crossed and head to the old grind at your current employer.

Oh and if you know someone at jetBlue, preferably more ranked than a line pilot, that usually helps out.

Good afternoon all. I too was wondering if anyone had any word on the July hire window. This will be my first time applying at JetBlue. I've read through many pages of threads looking for tips but am always looking for more advice. Can anyone offer up more words of wisdom on how to get recruiting's attention, pitfalls to avoid, and maybe how to come across as JetBlue material? Thank you so much in advance!

Is living in base really considered a thumbs up?

Also, I've heard the unofficial mins are 3500tt but what about jet time? Is there an unofficial minimum for that?

Hopefully emphatically saying you want to move to BOS and never commute in one's cover letter says the same thing.

They do hire Cape Air guys. Pretty sure those aren't Jets on the wing.
