In Dallas, the City Council is currently working a proposal to give John Q Public $50 for getting a vaccination. I want a refund.

Perhaps it’s too early to tell if there is a need to have a majority of the pilots /FAs vaccinated based on the countries we fly to. If all of a sudden your Arubas, Barbados etc require it of visiting foreigners I could see it being enough of an operational hurdle (cost) that it would be worth the $ to bribe more crew into getting it.

delta got 5:15 pay per dose if the dose and 48 hours after did not interfere with your schedule. if it did there was no additional pay but any trips that touched that 48hr window were dropped with pay and don’t count against sick or vacation.

But most importantly, limiting the AA codeshare more than the last proposed TA did. 100% of our international flying and having AA RJs hub to hub is not acceptable. Protect scope at all costs.

Not only RJs but our code should not be on any AA FC to FC.

So LOA 12 in a nutshell.

Everything offered in LOA 13 turned out to be immaterial, except the measly pay raise. No selling out scope.

Lets not forget the foregone yearly step increases while in negotiations are typically represented in the signing “bonus” attached to a new CBA. So essentially we were offered NOTHING!

That is true and it’s crazy to think about how the union and many pilots were in agreement with it; giving away precious scope for literally nothing.

with the pandemic recovery in full swing, we don’t need what loa 13 provided. Especially for what it gave us. Hopefully the mec has realized this. The only guys I felt bad for were the ones who wanted to take the early out and didn’t meet the requirements of loa12. Knew a few guys who wanted that.

Hopefully the MEC, the ELT AND our pilots realize that because MGT (with the help of the MEC) tried to buy us off cheap initially, the unilateral implementation in bad faith and refusal to further bargain, followed by the subsequent change in environment making the LOA 13 “gains” irrelevant, the “ask” for a negotiated settlement has gone up! All the parties in this upcoming meeting need to recognize that and recalibrate their negotiating positions accordingly. I hope our NC and MEC are up to that!

This is pretty identical to what was done at AA as well. United definitely has the best deal of the three.
