I think FLL will grow again fairly soon if I had to guess. NEA airports and LAX this year and next and then shift focus back to FLL at some point between 23-26. That’s what my crystal ball says. But that was based on Scott’s vision and words. Who knows what Dave will change as far as network direction. But I think we get more gates in the next couple years at FLL.

I left and I know there was 7 of my classmates who had offers elsewhere and left. Worked better for us, my only complaint was how training was handled with delays. Otherwise it’s a great place to be, I don’t want that to be taken as a “run away” type post.

When did you go through and how were delays handled?

I was end of September. They are short staffed on instructors so the 190 was extensively delayed. We got cancelled almost day ahead of time for 2 weeks and assigned into new slots without instructors which then cancelled the following day. Repeat. Prompted some of us to update apps honestly. Not everyone was on the 190 and just got some offers with a magic flying triangle carrier. When it cancels so soon, you can’t go home and are stuck there.

Nothing has changed on the 190 side unfortunately. If you're coming in anytime soon and get the 190, be ready for 3+ month training footprint/training pay with weekly cancellations and reschedules, usually the day before so you can't go home.

Is the A220 / A320 training going on schedule or are they as bad as the 190?

The 320 seems hit or miss, mostly depending on how many instructors call out sick/get covid. The 220 is hard to tell, they have the second sim going now but only the last two classes have had a significant number of people get the 220, so there's not really enough people in training for there to be a backlog. The 190 sims seem to be in a constant rotation of taking turns breaking.

Default New hire awards

1) What do they use to determine new hire class seniority?
Example: Last 4 of your social, whoever has the lowest number is #1 on the list.

2) What base and aircraft are new hires getting?

3) What base and aircraft is most junior?

Thanks in advance!

1. Age, oldest is most senior.

2. Check out the class drops thread. It is recent.

3. 190 BOS/JFK.
