Yes voter here.

MEC thinks it's a good idea, as well.

So you are against the MEC's recommendation? The MEC doesn't speak for you?

The MEC doesnt want to alienate the dimwits who dont see the negatives. This change alleviates any pressure on the company to come up with real changes and it costs them nothing. Meanwhile, we fall further behind the industry. Have some balls guys-Are you that institutionalized? Wake up

So let's call it what it is: you don't support your MEC. If you think your MEC's tactic is to not "alienate the dimwits" maybe you shouldn't wear a lanyard.

I'm ready to strike if it comes to that. To vote yes on a new contract I need DAL/UAL/AA or better. This is simply making the best of a bad situation. The MEC views it the same way and I'm voting yes.

I've seen your posts before and I know you are a stand-up guy. I know you mean well, and want what's best for the pilot group in general. But calling the MEC out and a portion of our pilot group dimwits isn't helping.

We are losing some of the profit sharing REGARDLESS of the vote. I see no reason not to midigate that damage.

I'll be voting "Yes" and expecting huge improvements from the Company in the CBA... which had better happen quick.

I am pretty sure that in our current contract profit sharing is not garanteed. Yes, last year and this year we will be well over 15%, but I remegmber getting 2-3% my first couple years here. In this new deal it's a guaranteed 10% plus the ability to get more on good years. It's simply a way better deal. The profit sharing is changing regaurdless. By voting no, you will only loose out on more holidays and a base pay increase. At least take this for now, and keep negotiating. The only way it's a pay decrease is to not take it.

Yes- dimwits is a bit harsh considering when I was in the regionals, i wouldve been a yes vote, but its the big picture thats being ignored here however, and its irksome. Im not calling out the MEC, im simply stating that they know that a majority of pilots would be alienated if the MEC didnt allow for this "raise". Tell me that you see its not a payraise Seekingblue.- Or explain your dissent.
And its about time we get ****ed off with these tactics.

I see it as softening the blow until we get a new contract. Our new contract better be on par with DL/AA/UAL or I'll be ready to strike (when allowed by law).

We are both on the same team here, I promise.

We will get there.
