we get to thank the port authority to pay I think it was $1/2 million, along with all the other operators in JFK, so the airtrain passengers don't have to pay so much (4.25 vs 8.50)

IOW the port authority brass needs new boats and don’t want the people with the votes ****ed at them.

Service disruption today. Will we be getting a refund? You know, like when your internet goes out for 2 days and they give you $3 for your "loss."

Wow. What a load of sheet. Can we tell them to pound sand? If they want to drive passenger numbers and ease the burden on the crappy infrastructure, that shouldn't be our problem. The port authority is such a scummy operation.

Costs of doing business in a highly sought after market. I’m sure if they said “we’re not paying” the port authority could say “Ok I bet UAL will, you’ve got 30 days to get out.”

Its not personal and emotion has no place in business.

indeed. It's not personal. Or emotional. But hey how's the continuous steam of 220 RSAs going for the budget?

My comment was 100% sarcasm.

Anyone blaming their financial woes on a train at an airport in NY is living in fantasy land. Only Jetblue would use that as an excuse for why the airline is under performing.

I’m assuming this covers all work groups. Years ago, B6 management decided to summarily fire all of their employees at outstations and replace them with cheap, unreliable “business partners” who don’t care and won’t even be here 3 months from indoc.

Anyone who commutes to an outstation is used to a rotating cast of characters manning the ramps and desks, and they’re basically always on a shoestring. You get what you pay for; we made our bed.

You know what frustrates me? Emotionally driven messages by Management.

Yes I chose to use the word management on purpose.

I agree with your explanation.
