I partially agree with this.

The only thing I think is different is that our NC and MEC/LEC will never let a substandard TA even get to us.

They know what we're worth across the board from pay/benefits to work rules, etc.

So does the company.

I'm confident we'll get a top-rate TA to vote on the first time. It may take arm twisting.....mediation......info picketing, etc....but I'm comfortable in the end we'll be happy with the outcome.

I seriously hope not. Nobody "wins" a fight. Especially not that one.

Vote yes- enjoy the 500/month- just be aware of the playbook and get ready for more shenanigans. Its a part of CBA negotiations.
When our wages (even after the 8%) are compared to our peers, I don't think the NMB will care that the company threw us a small bone in the meantime as our peers got 20-30% increases on top of already higher pay.

Spirit pilots absolutely did. Their successful strike vote made that a company worth considering (at the time).

We all look to DAL as an example of effective labor relations (early contract agreements specifically), but nothing I've seen yet suggests that B6 management is shooting for the high road rather than the Spirit model.

Really, I don't think we know exactly what we're dealing with here until this thing comes out.

The problem is that they will try to argue that your peers are at Frontier and Spirit and VA. NOT Delta, United, AA, or Southwest.

The NMB leans management pretty much in all cases of which I am aware.

I hope youre right- but it has to be considered that JB will use this as an asset against a speedy TA. Why wouldnt they?

That's high stakes poker. That strike was what... One day? I should have said a "prolonged strike." Is everyone here prepared to financially not cry uncle? I feel guys will bail given that situation.

Didn't help with first year wages. Eat the young philosophy. I got mine. You wait for yours. Hope that's not the case here.
