I very much agree about the board or ELT. Anyone on here saying the board won’t do this or that because (reasons) better have some really good sources. We are all just guessing. The one thing I do know is let’s say it’s true the ELT and Board don’t want to sell. Well you can fix that like we did with spirit and go public about it. So far nobody has.

I do however wonder about the patience of our investors and the analysts. I understand jet forward and how much of a hole we were in but how long do you keep going? I assume a lot depends on how the premium product does.

As for the company if (if) they can grab a large share of FLL and tighten up the partnership with United maybe even join Star I think they can definitely get back to being profitable but a lot of stuff needs to come together.

I have not seen an analysts root against us. But I do think Baker is starting to hint at hey you guys need to do something soon.

The only people I have seen root against us our some of our own pilots and the delta fanboys on airliners.net

I will add this. Historically, there have been multiple companies Jetblue used with ties to the board. From eat up boxes to construction companies in NY. Probably not much different to other airlines except for the whole making a profit part.

Analyst don't root for or against they just provide educated guesses, and in JP Morgans case, point out the painfully obvious fact as to how this airline consistently underperforms. Baker has been doing it for years.

Jetblue is a failed social experiment with management more concerned with DEI than operational integrity. And before anyone points out UAL is chasing the same DEI goal when you are the biggest and baddest on the block you can come out looking pretty much any you want.

If you haven’t been in the industry for long there is nothing like working for a dying company hoping, praying that it makes it so you dont waste years of your life before starting over. This epitomizes JetBlue. It’s better for everyone, pilots to industry, if the bottom feeders are removed.

Does anyone actually know what this United partnership is? Or how it benefits us? The company won’t disclose exactly what the agreement entails. It’s a make or brake for Joanna. If they don’t start projecting profits soon, she gone.

This is a good explainer:

https://www.pointscrowd.com/blog/jet...y-partnership/

Basically a lot of frequent flier program related benefits at this point. Probably formal codeshare eventually (requires CBA change at JB, not sure what the UAL scope section says).

Benefits JB by opening up a new pool of fliers who wouldn't otherwise book travel on us. UA loyalists aren't interested in flying on metal where they can't earn/burn points.

How about all the analysts with hold/sell ratings? How about no insider buying?

How about 1/3 of EBIT captured out of the goal while being 2/3 of the way through jetforward? Can’t use the 2025 tariff excuse when United recorded great results.

It’s another case of us trying to figure out where we fit in but we’re the toddler putting the wrong shape into the board Every. Single. Time.

not hate against you btw just putting this out there.

Also, JetBlue was created by David Neeleman with 1) no unions and 2) under the old duty and rest rules.

That allowed the airline to keep costs low by extracting more labor for less pay from everyone, pilots and inflight. (Everyone except the ELT, haha).

Then came 1) Part 117 and 2) the Union, and pay scales to match.

Those two things negate the Neeleman model, however JB has been in deep denial about this until, maybe, now.

I remember when JBLU pilots used to fly turns to the west coast from JFK!

I believe if Jetblue does not merge this year then chances of Jetblue merging drop significantly. Taking into account the low stock price, and the current deal making environment, it seems to make sense now more than ever. Waiting too long could lead to losing the opportunity completely when the next administration comes in. The question is, do any airlines want into JFK bad enough?

Boston and fortress hub in the making at FLL and SJU… but yeah I agree. This is the year. Our debt is starting to build and we really only have about a couple more years before we find ourselves in a not so good situation regardless of how well jetforward does, our debt will be our fast track to the grave.
