jetblue borrowed 3 billion dollars and for that reason alone people think it won’t declare Ch11. Jetblue currently can’t pay back the money it’s borrowed without losing more money. The estimates to make money are based on a perfect macro environment, JoJos words, which jetblue hasn’t had so the loses will continue. The investors won’t allow the airline to burn through the remaining amount just because. Bankruptcy is happening.
as mentioned the 27th will be telling. Perhaps revised estimates but certainly a posted loss. Operational
efficiencies will be blamed on the government and ATC. The lone good news will come in the on going spirit saga. I’m looking forward hear the tone in Jamie Bakers voice and JG makes more excuses for the airline’s shortcomings.

Step 2: Take only the good and apply it to your airline
Step 3: Hope it really applies to your airline
Step 4: Give a forecast with the good sometime in the future
It seems like the sentiments from the already-reported airlines are that the "premium" customer offset/ significantly helped out the underperforming leisure customer...I hope we can say that.
How much extra $ does a paint job like that cost? (suppose I could research that while sitting here too)

I got ya (only because I'm sitting in the crashpad and I happened to read my emails).

As earnings are on the 27th it’s important to note 11-12% of jetblue routes overlap with spirit. Modest at best. I don't see how Spirit shrinking, or ceasing to exist, truly benefits Jetblue. United, according to Kirby, cracked the code on ULCC pricing and can offer that low fare on a limit seating basis making largely negating spirits affect to the bottom line. Delta and AA have followed suit.

JB isn’t in a strong position to compete considering our financials. Any battle in FLL is likely to be short lived.
