Where'd you see that?

Reserve is just another reason people shouldn't come to this airline. Seek employment elsewhere!!!

Oh I thought you meant they actually said in an email that it's not required and that it's at their leisure.

I agree it's maddening that they get to wait till the day before to tell you and then they can still be late(even hours so) without consequence. That is the worst thing about our reserve system. Ridiculous that the FAA lets them get away with it as well. To me you have to know your start time for day one on the last day of your previous block. If it were fixed, upgrade would go much more senior.

I sent a couple of sad RSV stories to ALPA via PDR. I got the well, we need a CBA. We need that CBA to get some language on the RSV side. We're helpless without it.

Personally, I liked the Base Updates email sent yesterday. Page 1 reads how lucky we are to get the 8% raise on Jan 1. I've also heard that the compensation package that was dropped on the negotiating team two weeks ago said "Congrats on the 8% and that's all you're going to get."

(Now, I know you're thinking "Didn't Bubs say that we should vote no and never accept a raise from management that isn't part of a CBA?")

Nothing like management dropping a big steamer on the negotiating table and then begging for the pilots to step up and fly through the IROP. Jetblue IROP with 4 inches of snow. ***?

If 8% is all we're going to get, the company will dissolve as not enough pilots would ever stay around for that nonsense. It's like North Korea actually lunching a pre-emptive nuke; it's assured suicide on their part. Maybe they think such a thing would pass, but that would require a special kind of madness.

It would never pass because the NC would never go for it and the MEC would never allow a vote on something like that.

I don't get the base updates. Never had a v file before they took them out. Sometimes I think I'm like Milton in Office Space. One day they're just going to "fix the glitch"
