JetBlue Latest and Greatest

At the end of the day people need to look at their paycheck, QOL, benefits and retirement. All will be better at the big 4. Are you really that happy to be at "New York's Gayest Airline"? Are you happy enough with the PERCEIVED CULTure that it makes up for ALL the shortcomings when compared to the big 4?
If you live in BOS, I can understand. But, there are other airlines that share our domiciles, even BOS. Choose wisely.
JiffyJet isn't for everyone. This so-called CULTure is a facade to get you to accept inferior compensation and benefits.

The culture here is a sham. I've worked at many different airlines and they're all the same. I've flown with F/O's who've said they came here for the culture. They say they've jumped on DL, UA, AA and those guys are unhappy, they hate management, they're mean, they're jerks, etc... we have that here too!

I'm acknowledging that and reaffirming what I said earlier.
Some realize they've been schnookered when JB forces them to stay in prison camp for six weeks and gives them a whopping $2k/mo AND tells them if they want to see their family during that time that the newb can do it on their own dime. Spoke with one newb who said that The Lodge had the exact opposite effect on him as what the company had stated was their intent. For others it may take a few months or even a couple of years. Eventually, most will realize they've been schnookered.
And this contract did absolutely nothing for my GAS meter.

As a new hire your tenure at Jetblue will begin with smiling faces, management greeting you at meetings and everyone telling you pleased they are to have you at the airline. They will address your career in a positive manner and share with you their view of culture and Jetblue values and how that supports everything we do.
Meanwhile...
Jetblue will do everything in its power to make you work more for less. Your health benefits will be cut year over year, your profit sharing will be reduced year over year. Operationally you will not be supported and your seniority will not improve.
Management hope at an airline like JEtblue is that their indoctrination of culture and values will encourage you to accept less and do more and the current CBA is a shinning example of this.
If this all sounds great then welcome aboard but Jetblue is truly a cult with little career progression.

Untrue. We have an amazing contract now. It must be, almost 80% of us voted for it.

In related news, 84% of New Yorkers surveyed believe Sudan is in Asia. And 37% of pilots surveyed believe that when engaging the services of a Dominican prostitute use of a condom prevents the transmission of female to male genital warts. It’s a rough, unknowledgable world.

Get out if you can. The grass truly IS greener (and so is the bank account). Best of luck.
