Has anyone figured out why certain FLICA transactions "process" in excess of 30 minutes? I thought it was a computer doing this stuff.

Manual intervention by BJ. The software works in milliseconds.

Yes, it's rigged to a degree.

I heard if there is anyone who tried to pick something up in the legal but not legal buffer it requires manual intervention, and any requests after that are held up in the queue waiting so as to ensure everything is approved/denied in the proper order. Don’t quote me on that though.

This is correct, and a feature of FLICA at every airline that uses it.

It costs money to tailor FLICA to BlueJet FSM's rules.

BlueJet thinks if a person has to intervene they are saving money.

Yes, they manually do it. I know JFK has a larger buffer than the rest of the bases. I think its an extra 30 mins. Gotta love our work rules

Someone help me understand this,

Two day trip worth ten hours. Last flight back to base cancels and I get stuck for two days. Making it a 4 day trip

JRA/prem was in there. And no longer in there anymore, flica credit went up... is this because the rig pays more? Since rain maker is super easy to read.

I was approved for self, which I was under the impression you were pay protected for your trip, JRA/Prem. And if your DH cancelled or anything you just wouldn’t get that pay.

Put in a rainmaker comment. It needs to be there.

Also, a little know fact is that you get the JRA+prem @ a 5hr minimum. However trip and duty rigs apply to JRA+prem as well. If you are gone an additional 2 days, that might kick in.
