Does anyone believe that past practice of the pilot group is NOT built into the schedule of Jetblue?

Since it is, then a withdrawal normal practice is not harmful to the company?

Is that the position of the apologists?

Not surprised that you won't back that up.

The fact that you are a self-admitted habitual VDA/RSA user has no bearing on your general opinion on this subject?

Yes, 360 does not believe an airline builds its current and future staffing plans based on historical labor data.

I can turn it on and off when I want to. Year by year, month by month. The mortgage isn’t paid on VDAs. Slow months I’ll do RES. I also know some “burn it down” types that VDA’d during the dispute so not really indicative of my viewpoint on the subject.

ALPA said don’t go down the same road Spirit did, so I don’t think I’m alone with how I feel.

ALPA said don’t get caught trying to intentionally slow down the operation, so I don’t think I’m alone here.

Man, where were you 15 years ago when I needed a stranger to put words in my mouth that I never said, or tell me what I was thinking? PM me your PayPal info so I can send you some money!

VDA is part of the marketing schedule and hence staffing.

Waiting for a labor dispute to 'not help' is simply the dumb logic that pilots use to slit their own wrist on a daily basis.

You said on August 4th:

"VDAs don't cause low staffing."

It's just soo cool how you know everything in such a short amount of time, yet you don't even know what you yourself say.

I'm just curious about the next step that nobody ever talks about. We stop picking up open time and VDA/RSA because of the labor dispute. The company has the historical data and goes to court to get a TRO or cease and desist. Possibly sues the union. What is next? How exactly do you force a person to work overtime? Does the judge force overtime on a pilot that has historically worked on days off? Seems like all the company can do is sue for damages.
