We are going to be a smaller airline... but there is no intention of furloughing.
-Not my words.

Jump to 8:00 of you want to only hear about furloughs etc.

Interesting. He seems like he wants the company to pounce when the time is right. Just hold the line until then. Definitely did not give any indication that furloughs were a forgone conclusion. A vaccine in the next 6 months would be yuuuge...just to calm people’s fears if nothing else.

Why can’t they just LOA all of this OT, build it into move-up lines, and run a supplemental move-up bid prior to June 1st? They have plenty of time to do all of the above, which wouldn’t completely make the situation look any better for the company, but would at least mitigate the impact to alllllllllllll the ppl forced onto RSV unnecessarily.

I suspect they’ll pull the same shenanigans in July. Been a pretty quiet MAY for LCR. seems like the hammer will drop in June to feed the reserves the open trips while keeping them all at 30 hrs or less credit.

I think smaller airline was in reference to removing the elastic waistband from the pants. Without the quarantine belly elasticity , we’re all going to need to be smaller. I’m sure that’s it.

I’m guessing they cringed at all the lineholders getting paid to do nothing due to rolling cancellations and disruptions, so they engineered this as a way of just putting everyone and their mom on RSV, so they can assign out the trips however they want?

Nothing says awesome like commuting in a day or two early and staying a day late for an RSV Buffalo round. At least give me a, “Dirty Roch-A-Low.” The Rochester leg, 4 hour sit, leg back to JFK, then BUF round. Garbage plate and chicken wings.

Default Those who would have held a line in June...

Looks like those that could have held a line in June are going to get 75 hrs pay, no reserve, and the ability to pick up open time. Wouldn’t this also have effected pilots on SCR that could have held LCR? I guess it could be fairly lucrative for those in a certain demographic.

This affected all pilots. The absence of pairings that weren't available for bidding affects everyone. Something like this has affects from top to bottom. The entire group needs made whole. If B6ALPA agreed to just a few being compensated then they some explaining to do.

I think by that logic, releasing a number of senior reserves also effects all pilots. Hopefully the new lucky lineholders pickup the open time and reserves don’t have to fly.
