Strange decision by Jetblue leadership to put this policy into effect. Flight crew delays are very rare. I've experienced only one since I've been here. So they enact a policy that ticks off the entire pilot group to possibly eliminate a statistically insignificant amount of delays. Doesn't make sense. Reminiscent of the release of the dependability policy years ago. They can thank that policy for a lot of yes votes in the Union drive.
Things seemed to be going halfway decent with negotiations. Why poke the bear? The signer of the email is former American Airlines managament. A company that had a toxic relationship with labor. I really hope that doesn't happen here.

I would definately this is a shot across the bow an the company is going to test the pilots and the union and see how far they can push. I too am wonder how this is not a change to the status quo....

In the two years I've been here, I haven't worked one flight delayed by a late first officer/captain. It's the little things in life, being treated like a professional. If there are specific employees that are constantly late, then they should be taken aside and figure out what's going on. As of October 1st, that will be my last stand up PA, they can bargain it back

Oh...they knew about it. At the LEC meeting they told us something was coming tomorrow or the following day but wouldn't mention it. Said "check blue pilots as its surely on there by now"

It explains the "be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there" emails we've been getting from ALPA.
