My thoughts exactly. I love waiting to be disappointed!

Strange decision by Jetblue leadership to put this policy into effect. Flight crew delays are very rare. I've experienced only one since I've been here. So they enact a policy that ticks off the entire pilot group to possibly eliminate a statistically insignificant amount of delays. Doesn't make sense. Reminiscent of the release of the dependability policy years ago. They can thank that policy for a lot of yes votes in the Union drive.

Things seemed to be going halfway decent with negotiations. Why poke the bear? The signer of the email is former American Airlines managament. A company that had a toxic relationship with labor. I really hope that doesn't happen here.

I would too, but from what I have seen and heard no one is being added in the last 2-3 years.

I know, right.. Probably trying to find a away to mess with it some how.

I would definately this is a shot across the bow an the company is going to test the pilots and the union and see how far they can push. I too am wonder how this is not a change to the status quo....

In the two years I've been here, I haven't worked one flight delayed by a late first officer/captain. It's the little things in life, being treated like a professional. If there are specific employees that are constantly late, then they should be taken aside and figure out what's going on. As of October 1st, that will be my last stand up PA, they can bargain it back

Sorry, stand up PA? I'm not sure what that is.

Why wait till then? No stand ups, no blue gloves, no carrying write ups, no RSA pick ups, and safe taxi speeds can all be done now.

Oh...they knew about it. At the LEC meeting they told us something was coming tomorrow or the following day but wouldn't mention it. Said "check blue pilots as its surely on there by now"

Yeah blue pilots is a firestorm right now but you're not missing anything that hasn't been said on here. Just add a lot of capitalized words and uncensored language to the above posts and you'll get the gist.

It explains the "be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there" emails we've been getting from ALPA.

Not quite sure about the First Officer dig, but I concur with you in that we need a CBA that everyone can get behind and a unilateral change like this without the due process, does not do management any favors.
