So ..to clarify, you do loose at least 2 days out of those 13 off? (with gate travel that is)

also..
how many years of f/o seniority does it take to be at 100k/year mark?
and how many days on average would I realistically be spending home, if that's something I wanna make by year 3 or so?
You always leave home on your last day off to be in position by 0500z for your first duty day and you will be home on your last duty day (day 17 )

Last year I grossed $105K ( 5th year pay ) that's counting everything, per diem etc.. If your lucky you will be in the $80K range by year 3.

Days away from home equal earnings. If you want to work 17 it will take awhile. If you work 25 days a month you will probably do it second year, but you will have no life.

Not entirely true. The previous EXCO gave the last part away.

In place now by 0500Z, so travel on a day off, lost a day at home. As long as you are now in the lower 48 on your last day by 2359Z is good, whether or not you can get a flight home so you may loose another day there depending where you live.

When did that change? It was always released from duty by 19z in the lower 48 or at your home airport by 2359z. They tried to keep you longer but you had to insist they follow the contract.

YMMV....That said I have been "late" getting home ONCE in almost 5 years. Maybe I have been lucky. Depending on where you live... and where you have to be when going to work... you might have to leave middle of the day... earlier even for west coasters going to the east coast... or as late as 5 or 6 pm on day ZERO. FWIW... TOTAL compensation for me on year 5 pay in 2015 was 100.7K...

Oh.. and we DO NOT have gateways like Atlas... we are homebased except for training...sometimes.... clear as mud??
