Sim eval is straightforward... all raw data...no flight director in the full motion 747 classic simulator.

I heard you guys were hiring a lot recently. What's the current wait for IOE over there? How many days can you go until they have to send you back to the sim? If you end up going back, do you have to take a check ride all over again or is it just 3 landings..??

I wonder how often that happens.. Don't you have 90 days to finish IOE?

Yes...90 days... extensions to 120 are available. Usually it only happens if there are "other" issues. I met a guy the other day who had some personal issues and needed a PC before OE.... but its fairly rare.

When I transitioned to the 400 in 2013 they were so backed up that I had 2 months off at home before my number came up, I got my IOE done in one 14 day round the world tour that took me from Camp Bastian , thru Europe, the Mideast , and Asia, and ended with a line check between Hong Kong and ANC, great flying, great people, great jet.

The Classic was awesome, but the 400 is the better jet, I can only imagine how much an improvement the -8 is.

I believe in my dusty knowledge it is a requirement to complete IOE and consolidation of knowledge in 90 days, extendable to 120 days - I.E., IOE and a total time of 100 hours on type... But I could be wrong. Been a while since I read through that. So this guy had done an OKE and then had to do another before being released to IOE?
