I'm pretty sure that the 1200 and 0000 feeding were to be upgraded to a Mexican or Chinese you eat all buffet. However, Connie wanted to upgrade their co-pay on them to $0.50 and that is going to have to go to arbitration.

This Feces laden Ship-Of-Fools is sinking fast.

DHL has sent out warnings to Kalitta regarding an impending Strike/Labor dispute.

Morale is at an all-time low.

Retardation is the Name of The Game and management is clueless as to the new level of idiocy that they have sunk to. Implosion is a word that comes to mind. ALL of the schedulers have quit, and the new French Fry servers are completely out of their depth. Dispatch...Same. Maintenance...Same.

Connie is 78...No One wants to work here anymore, and even New Hires ( still on IOE ) are not making any secret of the fact , that as soon as they get a call from ANY other airline....They are gone.

Good-Bye K4...It was fun to know ya'. !

Other than that....I've had some fun here.

So sad to hear that, I enjoyed my time there 2011-14,I fervently hope my K4 brothers and sisters at the very least get parity with Atlas, they richly deserve the best.

Herc, your post are always informative and relevant. As a newbie it's hard to stay positive sometimes with everything you hear. I know the battle and have seen all the disfunction first hand. Of course I'm 'all in" but it's nice to hear there have been some "productive" talks and movement.

I can't agree with your statement of not staying positive. When you allow the present state of contract negotiations to effect your outlook and attitude, you are only hurting yourself. One of the best th Gs about working at K4 is the lifestyle. If you get wrapped up in the crap about contracts, which you have no control over, you are wasting the best part of the job. We elected the heads of our Union, and they have accepted that responsibility. Let them do their job at the pace they feel is relevant and effective and just sit back and enjoy the ride. Believe when I tell you that it will end too soon.

You're right Max and I do enjoy the long banks of time off, the airplane , the places and the people I have flown with. Great bunch and very helpful. I have seen the disfunction first hand and believe me I'm "all in" on whatever it takes to fix it. It's the "why did you come to a dying place", "you're going to regret coming here" , "it's never going to get better" ....etc that gets you down. Had plenty of that at other carriers so I'm a little gun shy. Maybe I should quit reading this board but believe it or not I'm always looking for something positive to pop up 👍Sorry if I sounded negative.

Was looking at the K4 schedule off the website and didn't see any flights into Thailand. I thought you guys went there often. Is it only on a charter basis? If so, how often are you guys going in there?

Thailand... probably not more than a few times per year. Beware though... the ONLINE schedule is probably only about 40% of our daily flying. Adhocs, mil charters etc... never show on the schedule. Generally that is only DHL and Pacific Air Cargo... and maybe the North Atlantic Freight contract from AMS.

When you guys get your schedule does it just show you working for 17 days or do you actually have an idea of where you are going? I'm aware that the schedule probably changes often, I'm just wondering about when you first get it.

"schedule"

STOP using that word.

It DOES NOT APPLY.

The only "schedule" here ....is the Slopping of the Hogs.
