The O2 masks say on them "Will not seal if wearing a beard" that's why they are not allowed.

serious question... name the 15?? at the very least 121 flag/supplemental..... seriously curious.

though I really do appreciate your answer to my original question, I do not remember asking your advise on where to apply instead.

"you were the one who brought it up"... not sure where you were going with this. but..Yes.. I did, its part of hiring, just probably not worth a separate discussion on this thread.

by "going back to the hiring process" I meant - lets go back to what this thread is really about

personally, I wouldn't mind continuing the discussion, but I wanna stay considerate to the rest of the folks on the forum, so
you can PM me about any other questions you might wanna address on this topic.

the list...
Yes majority of these are, I admit, international, which is precisely my point - its a worldwide phenomenon! so it raises the question - why is US so far behind the power curve?

Aeroflot is an airline?

I think El Al allows beards on the outside of their jets. Remember, "Airplane"?

So is the question, why can't US pilots wear a beard? Its company policy. The O2 mask isn't a reason. But maybe the US carriers don't want their pilots to look like Islamist Militants.

Again, K4 it's company policy PLUS the O2 masks say right on them that they will not seal correctly with a beard and allow smoke in.

If you would like to wear a beard the previous list would give you a starting place to send an application.

Hey man, lumber-sexuals need a chance at an airline career as well!

Now, does Kalitta allow plaid shirts?
