I just received an email saying my application was referred. This was for a GA inspector in MN. Unfortunately I no longer live in MN, so not such a good deal for me. Anyone know if you can update your location preference after the announcement closes. Also any chance of changing FSDOs after being hired?

would not recommend making any waves, including transfer requests during probation. this could be a bad move as the current office could terminate your employment.

One more question to the group:
Ok I have my MEII and it is current, about 20000 hours of time, several type ratings, developed different programs for my current employer, previous sim instructor and just a damn nice guy (humble to) anyway the question is, is this the type of resume that the FAA would want or would I be wasting my time applying????
Thanks in advance for any responses!!!!!

Done&out,
You are pretty much over-qualified. I have seen the Agency hire ASI's that don't have a degree, have no type ratings, just passed their ATP, and the biggest plane flown was a Seminole...
With your huge resume, you would be an asset to any FSDO or CMO.
