Soooo….pilot shortage still there, just not so bad (for management) as it was due to Boeing/Airbus/Pratt production issues.

Every week they delay, the training pipeline catches up. As ALPA pointed, FAA data shows that every month is a record month for pilot certifications

Idk, iAreoCrew (Swift) just ceased operations and all their pilots are on the street.

260 Spirit pilots about to be looking for a jobs.

I know it’s not a lot of pilots but combine that with alot of majors slowing or stoped hiring and I think it’s beginning to be a different ball game.

Any indication as to how much of that is career-track?

For some reason wealthy people are splurging on airplanes and boats right now. For the kind of airplanes they seem interested in, they need a CPL/IR to get insurance.

I think competitive mins have started to revert to traditional metrics. But still decent opportunities by historical standards. Non-121 sectors are still trying to catch up, for those interested in that.

I'd expect majors to focus more on aeronautical experience, be interesting to see what happens with college degrees wrt to competitiveness.
