I'll care more about their fuel cost when they care enough to have a parking crew there at our scheduled arrival time, vs having 2 PW4060s and an APU burning $750/hr of gas (@2.40/gal) and a crew cost of $1500+ an hour.

That being said, I fully understand we are the minority and most absolutely do no gaf about efficiency.

How do you know the fuel cost? Most airlines have private fuel contracts. They will release their end of year fuel results, but how can you tell what your airline paid on that specific flight from that specific airport?

No, I'm serious. As a former charter pilot, I saw the fuel bill for every flight. While I might have paid $3.50 per gallon on a specific day at Signature, I also knew that if we did X amount at Signature, we would get Y amount back at the end of the year. I also remember that at that same time Delta reported their average fuel price was around $1.90 per gallon. When you deal in high volumes, the "sticker" price does not apply.

It doesn't matter anyways, it's just a little thing I do. I don't gas if I'm off by $10. Let it go.
