ACE, ACE, ACE! You sound like my wife. What is all this stupid stuff they are sending you? I am not sure that eliminating the cards, gifts, etc. would make up the difference that some think they deserve.
As a Texas grad all I want at this point is a college playoff system! The BCS is a farce and when you can't prove things on the field, does it really count?

Your wife is a smart women. But seriously, it's a nice gesture but you know we throw those things away the same day we get em. Save the environment and more money so we don't have to codeshare!

Personally, I don't mind the friendly reminders we keep getting from PD while in the pool. I thought the fruit basket was a nice touch, and the buddy passes were a bit of overkill--but still nice.
As for everyone swimming in the pool, put your feet down for christ's sake...it's only 4 ft deep. Bacon

Of the fruit basket or the pool ?? Only been in a short time and so far, so good. Fruit baskets, buddy passes, hats...must be nice, all I got was a phone call and a Thanksgiving email so far. But hey, being in the pool is all good after where I've been this year.

Got my call from the PD today, no new news on classes. I'm AD until April, and she didn't seem to think they'd have any classes by then (shocker)... I've heard expect nothing until late next year, as I'm sure most of you have heard as well, but hopefully they're being conservative on the estimates. She said there's 200-ish in the pool, and classes will be filled in order of interview date...puts me at the end of the line with a 14 Oct interview. But, I'll gladly take it! Might just have to get a job at Starbucks for a while after I separate...triple grande nonfat extra hot ready at the bar!
And congrats Ace on venting six years of pent up frustration on my poor 2008 Auburn Tigers. Was it not enough for y'all get the big shutout win; did you have to get Coach Tubs to leave too?
