Hdog: Excellent comment, totally caught me off guard with that one!
To everyone getting the call: Congrats! Hopefully we won't get too waterlogged waiting for a class, but the note we got last month from PD was not too encouraging.
If you're like me and already on terminal leave (or left your company), you may want to think about a job to get you through our swim.

Congrats to all that got the call. Welcome to the pool. Those of you still waiting, keep the faith tomorrow could be your day. Any guesses on how many received a call thus far? I only see a few on here celebrating. I think tomorrow might be another good day.

BT has it right, congrats on getting the call, now go look for a job! I am on terminal leave through the end of December, then the battle really begins. I have looking for the past month for jobs in the Jax area, few and far between. Hope this NY thing helps kickstart a few classes!

Congrats to all that got the call.
Starting in Jan. we will be cutting about 190 flights and adding 70, even if we add LGA that's only 14 flights. We are way overstaffed with the RNP training starting up next year. I think we are adding 10 airplanes next year, someone else may know better, but that would be our only growth.
Of course this could all change tomorrow, but with the way Gary is going with this codeshare stuff, it doesn't look like a lot of growth for us.

Congrats to all who got the call. A good friend of mine who I wrote a letter of recommendation for and gave a resume to the chief pilot called last night and gave me the good news he was hired. Hurry up and get here so I can quit commuting to get a good line.

That was almost too much to take....I got the call today at 0930! Very excited to be jumping in the pool, thanks B Tanker and everyone else for the encouraging words when I was going crazy. Wish I would have asked more questions on the pool size, outlook, etc but I was just too excited.
