Swa New Hires
I want to start off by saying congratulations to all that will receive a call from Southwest this week!
It will be probably helpful to all, for those that do get called, to briefly touch on their backgrounds. That way, we can see what kind of applicant they are looking for.
Again, congrats guys!

SWA New Hire
Adding to this new post to provide data point to those interested:
All numbers include SWA .3 conversion per sortie
2650 TT
2210 PIC
1020 Multi engine, all PIC
All military jet time
Higher Power July 2008
Interview Sept 2008
Decision Board / Call 22 October 2008
Class ??? hopefully next spring sometime
Lots of instructor / evaluator time from fleet (EA6B) and training command (T45). Stan and check pilot. I highly recommend Higher Power if interested in SWA, and I did interview prep with Fae Simmons in San Antonio, Tx. I had three letters of rec (one CO, one SWA Capt, one peer) and I believe about 9 internal recommendations for the decision board (no way to know if they did it or not). Hope this helps, good luck to all on the DB, and for those awaiting interviews.

Anyone know if you need a SW emp. recommendation (he didn't have one)? My DH interviewed in August. He has over 10,000 TT and several types. He is on a trip right now so I don't know if he has been called.
I'm kind of thinking he won't be because of how he answered a question about his current employer.

WOW! That seems to be a little bit of a slam there b727.
What do you think a lot of experience is then? Does type of flying weigh into your matrix? I guess in the end maybe it isn't all about the hours and more about what you can do (and from some other posts I've read - what suit you wear )
In any case - congrats Bacon and Waldo. Best of luck.
