The "smugness" level is hopefully lower than yours. Not so happy at Delta, or do you troll just to pee in SWA guys cereal?

Don't you have anything better to do on a Saturday afternoon?

I was hired in the August DB and got my type from FTI last year. My two classmates and a couple other friends who also used FTI were also hired. In years past it may have mattered some where you got your type. However, as far as I know these days they just want you to have it. Save $2000 and go to FTI. I was very pleased with the program.

Just my 2 cents...

Hey Biage, congrats and welcome aboard. Just curious if you remember - how many were in your FTI class, how many applied to SWA, and how many have been hired?

It'd probably be nearly impossible to find out what type source has the highest success rate of SWA applicants, but the numbers geek in me would like to know.

I went to FTI. 3 in my class and all were hired. I hope hiring is based on the person, not on where they may have gotten their type.

Thanks!

There were 5 in our class all together. 2 had already been hired and the other 3 had their apps in but SWA had just stopped interviewing. A year later the 3 of us interviewed and were all hired.

Default Just Talked with the People Department

This afternoon I talked with the very nice folks in the People Department for the second time in the last week.

Again, after welcoming me to the "pool" she very kindly informed me that she did not have much information as far as future class dates. I was part of the October 20th DB.

She was unsure about any classes at all for the remainder of this year. She also indicated that she had no information at all about new hire classes for all of next year but that anything could change at a moments notice.

She said they would be in touch by phone at least once per month going into the future or that I could call them directly with any questions or for an update.

Once new hire classes do begin, she indicated that we would be invited out of the pool in order of interview date starting with those who interviewed first (beginning of August ??) that were part of the October 20th DB. I interviewed in early September.

Again, to everyone swimming in the pool, congratulations on making it this far!! We are all very, very fortunate.

Off by a month on the interviews. Beginning of July, but there are 4 to 6 guys already started from the first couple of days of interviews.

Thanks for the info JD. I got the call on the 22nd and haven't heard anything since...? I'm hoping the call wasn't someone's version of a joke, but I haven't gotten any mail either so I'll give PD a call tomorrow. From what I hear, 107 got the nod from the Oct DB, which makes the pool about 150 deep. If anyone has any other news, please pass it among. Bacon

No one ever attacks people lower than them, people always take shots at the guy at the top. This thread, unfortunately, has sunk to that level.. again.

Too smug?
