Congrats to all getting called!!
Most of the people I see on this thread who got the call look like they interviewed in Sept. I was one of the August guys who has been waiting since then. Any other August people hear anything yet? Or have those calls gone out already and are done? Not sure what the call back process is.
Just trying to hold out hope? Thanks

I got the call of a lifetime today at 1pm! My info with .3 mil conversion:
TT: 3,052
Turbine: 2924
PIC Turbine: 1869
ME Turbine: 2212
Military IP: 1447
Aircraft flown: T-37, T-1, KC-10, T-6
Type ratings: B-737, DC-10, BE-400
Education: BA, MBA
Currently a T-6 evaluator/instructor pilot. I interviewed on Aug 6 (without the 737 type rating, but with a HPA class date scheduled). I'll echo what others have said about Higher Power: not an easy course, but I do recommend it if you're serious about getting on with SWA. I brought 6 hard-copy letters of rec and had 10+ internal, online recs. My interview prep was with Faye Simmons at Randolph AFB in San Antonio--highly recommended.
For those preparing for an interview in the near future, be ready to discuss your resume. My first question was, "Tell me about your flying career, starting with when you first become interested in aviation, until now." My answer to that question, together with my resume (that was in front of the interviewers), was the springboard for the next 30+ minutes of questions.
My name is towards the top of the alphabet...maybe they are calling in alphabetical order. A sincere "best of luck" to all of you!

So either SWA hires alot of HPA grads or only HPA grads got no life and sit around and post on here
Either way Wow - this should answer questions about where to go for your type!

HPA grads, don't take this the wrong way--HPA provides a great product, but is not the only game in town. I got my type at FTI in Denver and saved about $1500 (before VA benefits).
Remember, once you get your type, SWA doesn't care where it comes from. Of the 24 guys/gals in my training class last Apr, I would say less than 1/3 got their type from HPA. My advice is to shop around and see what suits you the best.

I know a lot of guys who do interviews and not once have I ever heard them say, "We hired him because he got his type at HPA". Higher power must luv u guys pumping them up so they can keep their prices higher than the rest. I would go to whoever has the best price.
