What incentive is the company giving the band of blue? If any? Seems fishy.

Hey - why don't you union cowards publish the list of the JBPA insurgents?
Just to be fair and balanced.

hey genius, why don't you log on the jbpa site and see under "organization committee" our names?
do you think that putting your name on a company sponsored board to suck up to our management is "fair and balanced" and makes you some kind of a hero? do you also think that workers exercising their rights under this country's labor laws make us "insurgents"(and of course the terrorist implication does not go unnoticed)....?are you really that pathetic of a human being?please tell me you are not a jb pilot.

Thumbs up

Kudos to all the pilots on the organizing committee of the JBPA! It takes serious intestinal fortitude to stick your neck out for the betterment of the profession as a whole and the betterment of your pilot group on a smaller level.
On the other hand, it is nothing of special interest to be part of a mgmt sponsored 'organization' that really offers little more than lip service.

I was a member of the CJC ALPA organizing committee....and continue to serve a vital role in forming our leadership structure. As such, I understand (and respect) the efforts and risks you're facing. Thank you for your work and good luck on the upcoming vote!

Water Boarder: you are an unbelievable idiot. How dare you tell me I'm fighting for greed while I sit here making 53 bucks an hour with no improvements in sight?! How about, I'm fighting to get the company to respect and enforce the few paltry protections we have in the FSM? Or, I'm fighting to make sure that I have some say in my insurance coverage that costs twice what it did at my regional? Or, I'm fighting so that I can file a greivance after my CP (you know, that wonderful direct relationship we have) says "I'm sorry, I completely agree that Crew Services dropped the ball and screwed your pooch, better luck next time"?

Unfortunately, we held up our end of the bargain while the company gave us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING,

Good luck with "good working relations with management".

Management is not your friend and you guys are in desperate need of some form of solidarity to confront them with.

Waterboard and his band of blue idiots are just management wanna-be's who can't wait to make the leap over to the dark side, (see corporate HQ).
In addition to the PA we've had an in-house union (IACP) and a couple of ineffective versions of Student Council. All of the non-union organizations were nothing more than management creations to keep the pilots quiet with the same touchy-feely "good management relations" garbage you're being fed today, in the case OF DB by an actual ex-CAL manager! Only a real union (IACP) was able to deliver a significantly better contract in relatively good economic times. Our first ALP contract was concessionaly, but after 9/11/01 every contract was. We're working on improvemenents now.

If for only one reason--mergers--you guys need to get yourself organized now! You have no idea how far behind the power curve you are. An acquiring company could care less about your flexible, non-binding FSM. And if you think in this environment you can't be acquired, you haven't paid much attention to history.
