For all those interested in the process and what is involved.
FRONTIER-RESTRUCTURING.COM
F9 will have to make some tough choices.
Hopefully, whatever choices are made, the Entire Pilot Group will demand some say in their fate--that will require a lot more than management is willing to give right now.
Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.

Pilots don't determine who wins this bid by any stretch of the imagination.

One can learn a lot from history and from what is NOT said by the players in this chess game !!

To repeat what others have said: Look at a pre nup to be done on seniority before any deal is made. SWA has never integrated anyone else into their club. Do not expect altruistic intentions from the SWAPA negotiators. There has been impending stagnation in the right seat at SWA, and those F/Os won't be happy to see the F9 guys come in ahead of them, even if it is deserved. Any prenup will trump the legislated seniority protections.
Frontier is bringing jets and routes to the table. Though the Airbus may be replaced by the 737 it's not like those jets have no meaning. Those are viable routes they are flying and if F9 had the creditworthiness of SWA there would have been no CH 11. Remember, it was the credit card holdbacks that did them in, along with the high fuel prices. It wasn't the business model that was the problem. Given a better economy Frontier could have built up to Air Tran's level of growth. Frontier pilots should be a part of any deal.
SWA is a very smart airline. They will do what is best for their company. Unfortunately, there is nothing in that charter that will make allowances for how great Frontier's people are and should be taken care of. That is not the way of big business (although it should be).
Good luck to the F9 ers.

I'm amazed on a pilot website, pilots think its all about them......Kelly made a comment about 5000 employees at F9....pilots seem to think that its all about them when they are protected by legislation and other employees are not.
Pilots don't determine who wins this bid by any stretch of the imagination.

In your hurry to slap me down with the above example of your intellect, you seem to have missed the point I, and others, have attempted to illustrate for you.
That Point: You are wrong. SWA is unionized.

With regards to Lynx, I think that an "equitable" merger with Southwest would place them at the bottom, based on career expectation. I think that Bond-McCaskill protects all employees, union or otherwise, as long as they are covered the the RLA. Here's the bill, on the left side of the page. Swelblog / Swelbar on Airlines - Articles - F + E = LPP^DL: Fairness and Equity; Seniority Integration; Union Representation; and Lee MoakAgain It looks like the F9 pilots MIGHT agree to contract changes that would allow themselves to be stapled if they felt like that was a better option than being bought by RAH. Right now I'd say that the F9 pilots would prefer to be acquired by Republic and continue to operate as Frontier than to be stapled. After all, F9 has lower costs ex-fuel, and vastly higher customer loyalty in Denver. But, if it came to a DOH merger, I think most Frontier pilots would prefer the WN option. A percentage merger would be a no-brainer, but that ain't happening. Given that RAH has a 40% vote on the outcome of the bid, and FAPA has what I believe is the second largest vote in the matter, I think that this may all hinge on the pilots at F9. Perhaps WN might come up with some sweetener to persuade the F9 pilots to accept a staple job, but I can't think of one short of a VERY large signing bonus.
