I follow DAL/NWA current events pretty closely and I've never heard of this issue before.
Did you raise it when the JCBA was being negotiated?

I agree with you though and I welcome you to Delta.
We need all the militant no voters we can get.

the problem is that IF we hired newb pilots those pilots would get their pay longevity at DOH making those of us senior to them on a substandard longevity pay. Not to mention that a new hire tomorrow would have 12% starting right away while the rest of the NWA pilots are on substandard % as well.

ALL of this was grieved and resolutions passed but the MEC threw it out as no action taken! It needs to be fixed so that we're all paid equally.

This effects all NWA pilots that havent hit the 12th year mark fwiw
The pilots at NWA that were furloughed at one point didn't care as much when this happened because they were given longevity for their furlough. This bumped some of those pilots up 5 years on the pay scale. Everyone else is either close to or already on the 12 year pay scale. There are only about 170 NWA pilots that are really bothered by this. Those same 170 pilots are the ones getting hosed on the retirement.

more than that are getting boned with the retirement. all nwa pilots are playing catch up on retirement until 2012 when we will catch up to the original DAL pilots or any newhires that get hired before 2012. the guys whom got their longevity back are just less concerned about it because they got signiicant bumps in pay. That leaves the 170 of us whom are actually NOT happy about it!

Did the furloughed NWA guys not get longevity?

Im assuming this same group also has a different DC contribution? If so, how much?

Just wondering
the furlough recalls got their longevity reinstored but EVERYONE on the NWA side gets our pay bumps 2 months after we started with NWA NOT at DOH. The northwest way was to start the longevity clock once the first person in your class finished OE .

In the Joint Contract the NWA side was specifically written out of matching the NWA way of longevity which is at DOH.

SO anyone who still gets pay bumps, meaning they've been here less than 12 years, still gets it 2 months past DOH which is different than the DELTA way. Also anyone whom gets hired from this point forward will get their longevity bump at DOH even though those of us already here will still be under a sup par contract.

ALSO ALL NWA pilots are on a sub par retiremet contribution. We get bumps in company contributions until 2012 at which point we'll CATCH UP to you guys at DAL at 12%.

Clear as mud

Wicked, bad, naughty satchip.

GALAHAD: Zoot!
DINGO: No, I am Zoot's identical twin sister, Dingo.
GALAHAD: Oh, well, excuse me, I--
DINGO: Where are you going?
GALAHAD: I seek the Grail! I have seen it, here in this castle!
DINGO: No! Oh, no! Bad, bad Zoot!
GALAHAD: What is it?
DINGO: Oh, wicked, bad, naughty Zoot! She has been setting alight
to our beacon, which, I just remembered, is grail-shaped. It's not the
first time we've had this problem.
GALAHAD: It's not the real Grail?
DINGO: Oh, wicked, bad, naughty, evil Zoot! Oh, she is a naughty
person, and she must pay the penalty -- and here in Castle Anthrax, we have but one punishment for setting alight the grail-shaped beacon. You must tie her down on a bed and spank her!
GIRLS: A spanking! A spanking!
DINGO: You must spank her well. And after you have spanked her, you
may deal with her as you like. And then, spank me.

SECTION 15: PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS

SECTION 16: CREW AUGMENTATION & INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS

SECTION 17: WITNESSES AND REPRESENTATIVES

SECTION 18: GRIEVANCES

SECTION 19: SYSTEM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

SECTION 20: SENIORITY

SECTION 22: FILLING OF VACANCIES
New- wants recall rights to be longer than 180 days

SECTION 23: SCHEDULING
FTB- wants the raw score to give credit for SC
DogW - 23k recovery flying needs to lose the "same calendar day" option for the company. The "within four hours" finishing part can stay but the other turns line holders into reserves. 23k abrogates seniority.
New- wants a call in honest policy.
ACL - if an FO is released from a trip for IOE etc goes to the bottom of the reserve list, not the top....
Nu - ultra-long-call reserve. Maybe a 24 hour callout at a reduced reserve guarantee (68 vs 70 or something like that).
Frank- reserve pilots within 1 month of being out of currency should go to the top of the list to get a trip.
Dirt- 12 hour max on short call
Dirt- 23K goes to the bottom of the list not top
Nu - Another PCS cycle

SECTION 24: GENERAL
New- wants JS scheduling to be longer than 5.5/3.5/1.5 days

SECTION 25: MEDICAL, DENTAL, LIFE INSURANCE & OTHER BENEFITS

SECTION 26: RETIREMENT & DISABILITY BENEFITS

SECTION 27: UNION SECURITY & CHECK-OFF

Pilot Working Agreement Section 1-12

SECTION 1: SCOPE
Satch - If it says Delta on the ticket, jet, webpage, or gate, it says Delta on the nametag! All flying coded and marketed and sold as Delta Air Lines is performed by Delta Air Lines seniority list pilots. That leaves room for the JVs we currently have and any future JVs. In addition all JVs will have the 50/50 clause.
FTB/Dirt - anything over 50 seats is flown by Delta.
FTB - anything over 50 seats whether a turboprop or jet flown by pilot.
FTB - any aircraft not on property on January 1, 2010 that is added to the Delta Connection fleet (that is greater than 50 seats) is flown by Delta pilots.

SECTION 2: DEFINITIONS AND GLOSSARY
Super - clean up the langugage to help get rid of the "to the extent..." "except if..."

SECTION 3: COMPENSATION
Tsquare- Pay me for doing Jepp revisions. (Want to see electronic flight kits or ship sets tomorrow?? here's the way it happens)

SECTION 4: MINIMUM PAY AND CREDIT GUARANTEES
Bar - instant credits (or penalty fee) for Crew Scheduling and Crew Accommodation screw ups - at least .25 pay, or $50 per call.

SECTION 5: LODGING AND EXPENSES

SECTION 6: RELOCATION

SECTION 7: VACATIONS

SECTION 8: DEADHEADING

SECTION 9: MISCELLANEOUS FLYING

SECTION 10: ADMINISTRATIVE PILOTS

SECTION 11: TRAINING
Tsquare- Pay me for every minute I am in the sim. Pay me for every minute I am watching a CD.

SECTION 12: HOURS OF SERVICE
