Now under the DAL rules we sit 24 more hours turning a 3 day into a 4 day. I have to sleep all day and stay up 2 nights to stay on US time making rest more difficult. I am for max time while flying and min time away form home. Would like to see some relief on this issue. I think this is a win win for the company(not buying extra hotel rooms and less perdieum) And less time away from home for the pilot. open for discussion and would like to know the DAL rule on this.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that thre result of the FAA rules on ULH flying now not Delta?

SECTION 1: If it says Delta on the ticket, jet, webpage, or gate, it says Delta on the nametag! All flying coded and marketed and sold as Delta Air Lines is performed by Delta Air Lines seniority list pilots.

That leaves room for the JVs we currently have and any future JVs. In addition all JVs will have the 50/50 clause.

Everything else is just details...

I'd like to see an update in the way the company assigns flights to pilots on short call.

If you're within a month of your "out of currency" date, you should go to the top of the list to get a trip. Assuming something opens up, that'd save you and the company the hassle of sending you to the sims for a refresher.

Win - Win

Not necessarily in order:

1) Holiday override pay. All the other DAL employees already get it, goes a long way towards fixing unstacking in Nov/Dec.

2) 1.5 hour pay over reserve guarantee for a short call. The base residents may even volunteer to cover them all. Incentive for crew scheduling not to overload SCs. We've recently had as many as 12 standing SC while the published reserves required was only 4. That's gotta end.

3) 12 hour max on short call.

4) 23K goes to the bottom of the list, not top.

5) Anything over 50 seats is flown by Delta. Regain control of the brand.

I'm open to looking at other ways to come up with hours of pay than beacons and doors. Like sign in to release. Want to pay me to sit in a lounge chair and watch TV for 4 hours in the middle of my day? No problem. Tired of me turning on the beacon early? Fixed.

Whoops!!!

FTR, I think this PWA is somewhere between keep it and burn it.....
I don't think you'll be throwing off the validity of the results, since there is no validity to the poll. I only put it up for entertainment value.

I will vote no to any TA that doesn't fix the anniversary pay date for FNWA guys. I'm sure this is news to some, NWA pay anniversaries are started when the 1st person in your new-hire class was released to the line from IOE. Every new-hire in that class was then tagged with this date as their pay anniversary date. That is pretty much across the board a 3 month period.

Example: You start INDOC on Jan 1st. The first person in your New hire class is signed off from OE on March 1st. This is when your pay anniversary starts. You would now go to second year pay on March 1st the following year. Not the date that you started Indoc. (They basically got 15 months out of 1st year guys at 1st year pay)

Why was this brought over to The New Delta? Correct me if i'm wrong but Delta guys have always had their anniversary date as the 1st day of INDOC.

I have brought this up to my reps but they don't seem to think this is a big deal. I think it's ridiculous!!! This is something that needs to get fixed. You want one big happy family then treat us all the same! I have told my reps this is a No vote from me until it's corrected. I'm tired of watching guys junior to me make more money than me for three months out of the year!

I voted I love it too, on purpose. Only because there's no middle ground. I haven't been here long enough to burn and urinate on it. I wasn't here to have lost what was. And compared to where I was before, this PWA's light years ahead of that. And 'we' (ASA) negotiated 5 years for it! There's definately room for improvement, though.

I say 20% min. increase in pay. I also like the credit for SC, looks like reserve for quite a while!

How about the fact that I make 3 percent (I think that percent is correct) less in retirement right now than my fDAL brothers. I have no pension as I was hired well after the targeting crap took place. Couple this with the above post and the fact that reserves are paid less per trip than line holders; I feel like a "B" scale pilot.
